I'm here to talk about things that will make geeks and nerds squeel. And also talk about stuff like Marvel, Star Wars, those kinds of things

This is a list of MY favorite superheroes. This is a 10-1 countdown with honorable mentions before I state #1. And without further adiou, lets begin the list

#10. Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy
The Guardians of the Galaxy

If I made this list a year ago, the Guardians of the Galaxy would not be on this list. The film opened me, and a lot of people, up to this rag-tag group of intergalactic outlaws and you know what, everyone loved it. It was an awesome movie, I even just got the Issue #1 of Guardians of the Galaxy from 2008. It is an interesting comic book. They are #10 on this list mostly because I do like them, but there are still better ones out there. I believe most of you will agree with me.

#9. Captain America

He's the most patriotic superhero out there. He is a super-soldier designed to help the Allies during World War II, but says he's only, "...just a kid from Brooklyn." He believes in the ideals of the American people and stands for freedom across the world, so much so that he even stood against fellow heroes to point out what was right in the storyline Civil War. He firmly believes what he believes that he will risk everything for what he believes is right. That's why is on this list at #9.

#8. The Inhumans

The Inhumans
The Inhumans

I don't like these guys because of their characters or powers, I like them because of the idea of Inhumans. These ancient race of people who are normal people only until they are exposed to the Terrigen Mist from the Terrigen Crystals and transform into high-powered beings with superpowers and they have a wide arrange of powers. I don't why, I just love the concept. I heard of them before, but when Marvel released their slate of Phase 3 movies and it showed Inhumans, I went, "Hmm... I've heard of these guys before but I don't know too much about them. I think I'll do some research." So I did and I was immediately hooked. And then Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. started showing Inhumans with Skye and Raina and that is when I realized how much I love Inhumans. That lands them at #8.

#7. Batman

Batman
Batman

This is gonna make a lot of people mad, but let me explain. I like Batman, I really do, but I never understood why he is so popular. I understand why he is liked but not to where he is people's fav superhero. I think it just has to do with the fact that he is the only human to make it onto the Justice League, you know a man among gods. He is dark and brooting and maybe that is as well, but that's not really my type of formula. For me it does work, I like dark things, but he just isn'y my favorite superhero. This is why he's #7 for me. And just so you know, Superman crushes Batman.

#6. Martian Manhunter

Martian Manhunter
Martian Manhunter

I love Martian Manhunter. He is just such an awesome character. He is a man from Mars who can shapeshift and has almost equal strength as freaken Superman! You are probably going, "How do you like Martian Manhunter more than Batman!" and that's because I was more interested in him than Batman. I'm sorry. Moving on.

#5. Shazam

Shazam!
Shazam!

This is another character in which I love the concept. I mean come on, how cool of a concept is it that a 12-year old that says, "Shazam!" and basically becomes Superman. It freaking awesome. That's it. I pretty much summed up why I like Shazam. Next.

#4. X-Men

The X-Men
The X-Men

I know, this is a group of superheroes, but there are so many iconic X-Men that I decided to include them all. You have Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, Angel, Colossus, Rogue, Storm, Kitty Pryde, Emma Frost, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Professor X and the list goes on. I always liked the X-Men because they represent segregation, and slavery, and discrimination and that's why I've always been fascinated with their villains. Most of them aren't just bad guys, they do bad things but for a justifiable reason, everyone is scared and hateful toward mutants, and the X-Men just want to fit in, as do every mutant in the world. This is why the X-Men are #4.

#3. Deadpool

Deadpool! Yeah!
Deadpool! Yeah!

Come one now. How could I have left him off this list, it's freaking Deadpool! I mean who doesn't like him, he's like the best comic book, even literary creation ever! He's pure gold. He is a badass mercenary, can break the 4th-wall and has Wolverine's healing factor. There's nothing more to say other than he's The Merc with a Mouth.

#2. Spider-Man

Spider-Man
Spider-Man

I just love Spider-Man. He has always been the character to show that anyone can be a superhero and not only men could be heroes, teens and kids and nerds could too. Just so you know this is the Peter Parker version of Spider-Man. I also loved his movies up until Spider-Man 3, that's when they all took a downward spiral. The last good Spider-Man movie was Spider-Man 2, but I hope that changes now that Marvel can now use him (Come on, Spider-Man and the Avengers together=Awesome!). Anyways, I adore Spider-Man. I love his message you know that, "With great power comes great responsibility," stuff, but it does speak loudly as it is true, great power does come with great responsibility and that's why I've always loved Spider-Man.

And now the moment you've been waiting for. My number 1 favorite superhero is...

#1. SUPERMAN

That's right! The Man of Steel
That's right! The Man of Steel

You probably saw this coming, but how can I deny the awesomeness that is Superman. For all you Batman fans out there, yes, I said it. Superman is better than Batman. Whatchya gonna do about it. But seriously, I think Superman is infinitely better than Batman. He is a symbol hope for people around the world, has almost any power you can think of and stands for truth, justice, and the American way, or at least he used to *cough, Man of Steel, cough*. But in all seriousness, Superman is an American icon and was instrumental in the creation of comic books. Lets face it, without Superman, there would not be any comic books today. He is also the most recognized superhero not only here, but around the world because people love him. Superman is not only a superhero, he is THE superhero and the very definition of the word superhero. This is why Superman is my favorite superhero of all time.

Well that's my list, make sure to leave a comment below and tell me if you agree or disagree. Bye-bye, and see you next time.
