If there was one thing from this Sunday's episode of [The Walking Dead](series:201193) that we were all left talking about, it was that crazy fight and final scene involving Rick Grimes, Pete and Deanna.

After building the tension between Rick and Pete since the group first arrived in Alexandria, things finally came to a head after Carol revealed at the end of episode 14, "Spend" that Pete was abusive, and that Rick should kill him. After this Pete's fate was basically sealed, and after confronting Deanna about the issue and getting a dismissive response, Rick was fast reaching his breaking point.

Rick then went to offer Jessie his help, though at first she rebuffed his offer, and it wasn't until Rick told her about Sam trying to get a gun from Carol that she realized she truly did need help. It was at this point that Jessie told Pete he needed to leave, and then the out-and-out brawl between Rick and Pete began.

Rick even had half a smile on his face as he choked Pete out

Finally Deanna intervened and that's when Rick showed how far gone he was by pulling out his gun

Luckily Michonne had the common sense to shut Rick down before he did something stupid

The scene was one of the craziest things The Walking Dead has shown in a long time. While action, fighting and gory scenes are the norm for the series, this brawl definitely showed that although they have returned to a semblance of a civilized society, it's a delicate balance to maintain. Next week's finale, "Conquer," will be one hell of a season ender, and I cannot wait to find out how Alexandria reacts to Rick and his rant - which was both filled with hard truths and craziness.
