To the excitement of X-Files fans everywhere, network giant FOX are getting ever closer to officially announcing the new season of The X-Files.
Apparently the season will be between six to eight episodes to take into account cast member's and creator's schedules. It's been speculated that the show will tie up old story lines left open by the last movie.
Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will return as Mulder and Scully with the help of creator Chris Carter, who is to write and produce the episodes.
Earlier this year Fox co-chairman Gary Newman expressed his wish to get the show back on air. It looks like his wish is about to come true.
An official announcement is expected by end of the month, and the truth will be out there! (Sorry)
