Speaking of which, 2015 has some great contenders for the exclusive title of this year's "Hollywood Summer Blockbuster". There are big movies, small movies with actors and the return of some of the most interesting directors. We take a closer look:

1. Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Joss Whedon owned the first collaboration of the Marvel Universe, by making a film that is funny, delivers on the action, and is at its bare minimum - a tight film. He brings back all heroes against the antagonist Ultron (voiced by James Spader) and if the first trailer is anything to go by, the film will be a lot of fun!

2. Furious 7

The seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise which made all the wrong headlines because of the death of its lead actor Paul Walker. However, the film was completed and automobile junkies can look forward to an orgasmic film - looking at that first trailer. Jason Statham will be the antagonist to Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's heroic car chases.

3. Jurassic World

Dinosaurs up for the summer! After the franchise was put on hibernation for more than a decade, it is set to open up the park gates this June. Chris Pratt has joined the wagon of Jurassic Park, which became such a wonder when Spielberg was at the helm of the first two movies. Looks like a joyride for the first-timers...

4. Tomorrowland

Brad Bird's outing with Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible IV: Ghost Protocol) was amazingly great - but his next film came into news even before they began shooting. The reason? George Clooney and Hugh Laurie came on board for it and everyone was fascinated by the concept of an alternate reality world, set in the future and after all its been really long since we have seen Doctor House.

5. Ant Man

Marvel's Ant Man is all set to take over the screens with funny-man Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas in lead roles. This is the first film that this comic book hero has ever gotten made and the unconventional casting of Rudd and the enigmatic Douglas has been the talking point around the movie. Ah! Can't do anything about the name.

6. Fantastic Four

It is Marvel again! They are having a ball this summer, with three releases in the span of 2 months. This one is a reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise with an origins story about Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing. The exciting thing is the guy at the helm of this movie is Josh Trank, who made the widely appreciated 'Chronicle' and also stars Miles Teller who gave an amazing performance in 2014's Whiplash.

7. Spectre

Spectre which is the the twenty-fourth bond film and is directed by Sam Mendes who had previoulsy directed 2012's Skyfall. We are pretty sure this one is going to be a silent blockbuster as it is filled with action, exoctic location's and bond girls.

9.Mission Impossible V: Rogue Nation

Tom Cruise is back with the fifth installment of his spy series "Mission Impossible" and from whatever little we could gather from the trailer, the film follows 'Rogue Nation' - an army run by a crime syndicate, which one of the characters describes as an anti-IMF. of course we expect a lot of adrenaline-pumping action sequences, given the star's reputation.

10. Terminator: Genisys

Arnold is back! After Salvation didn't quite save the franchise with a suitable end, the makers are giving it another shot in the hands of Alan Taylor - director of Thor: The Dark World. Along with Arnold, the film stars Emilia 'Khaleesi' Clarke from Game of Thrones and Jason Clarke, as they make a final bid to finish the war against Skynet.
