With Kingdom Hearts 3 so far from a release date for the Xbox One and PS4, fans of the series have really been left in the dark concerning changes to the franchise. We've all spent months speculating on the various gameplay alterations that Square Enix could implement into the game. They have years of Disney characters and worlds to draw from, but also the desires of fans!
Over the years we've all thought of different gameplay additions that we've love to see in the series. But maybe there's one title out there that Kingdom Hearts 3 could take some additions from: The Witcher 3.
Kingdom Hearts 3: Could it Borrow from The Witcher 3?
Naturally, these two games couldn't be further apart from one another. Rather than saying that we should see the severe brutality and sex-laden story-lines from The Witcher in Kingdom Hearts 3, there's a little gameplay change that I'd love to see implemented from The WItcher 3.
In The Witcher series, we've always taken control of Geralt of Rivia. The story follows him on his adventure through these mythical worlds, however The Witcher 3 has a new change for brief moments in its campaign. We play as a different character: Ciri. In The Witcher 3 we'll be able to take control of Ciri for about 10 hours of the overall plot. She's integral to the narrative, and it'll be great to utilise her different powers for a short time. What if this was to happen with Kairi?
Play As Kairi in Kingdom Hearts 3
There are plenty of Disney characters that we could play as from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. However, Kairi has always been a vital part of the Kingdom Hearts games, and she's also been very vocal about her willingness to fight. She's always wanted to help Sora on his adventures in some way, and personally, I'd love to see Square Enix grant her the opportunity in Kingdom Hearts 3. Out of all the characters, even more than Riku, I want to see Kairi as a playable character.
It doesn't have to be for a large part of the campaign, but with the series wrapping up, I'd love to see Kairi get her wish to fight. She's a tough young woman and Square Enix could certainly devise some powers for her for Kingdom Hearts 3's release date! It could really help freshen up the gameplay.
What do you think Kingdom Hearts fans? Would you like to see Kairi as a playable character in Kingdom Hearts 3? Or would you rather take control of a Disney character? Let us know what gameplay changes you'd like to see on KH3's release date!
