You may be surprised that some of the most recognizable faces in the world have been involved in some horrific accidents and committed some outrageous crimes. And believe it or not, some may be responsible for the deaths of other individuals.
While a few celebrities engaged in combat during wartime, some were simply victims of circumstance outside of their control. However, there are a number of individuals who also made the following list for committing acts of cold-blooded murder and worse!
In no particular order, feast your eyes on the following 11 A-listers who have behaved very, very badly indeed:
1. Matthew Broderick
The Ferris Bueller's Day Off star was driving with his then-girlfriend Jennifer Grey in Ireland. By accident, he drove down the wrong side of the road and crashed into an on-coming car, killing both passengers in the front seat.
2. Rick Springfield
The 'Jessie's Girl' singer and Californication actor killed a man in Vietnam when he was 17. He was entertaining U. S. troops when they came under attack and he helped to load mortars, one of which then killed a Viet Cong soldier.
3. Snoop Dogg
The chill rapper was charged in connection with the death of a gang member, shot and killed by Snoop's bodyguard. As a teenager, Snoop was involved with the Crips gang, even when he was discovered in 1992 by Dr. Dre.
Both Snoop and his bodyguard were under house arrest for two years during the trial, but they were eventually found not guilty on grounds of self-defense.
4. Brandy Norwood
Brandy blames herself for a car accident which saw a woman taken to the hospital. Due to her horrific injuries, the mother of one from Los Angeles tragically died the next day.
5. Bruce Jenner
When? February 2015
Olympic champion and Kardashian clan member Bruce Jenner was involved in a fatal car collision in Malibu that killed one woman. His SUV rear-ended another vehicle that sent it swerving into on-coming traffic.
6. Lane Garrison
The Prison Break star was involved in a car crash that killed a 17-year-old. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter, drunk driving and providing alcohol to a minor.
7. James Stewart
When? During World War II
The legendary actor was in the U. S. Air Force Reserve during the Second World War, during which time he took part in numerous bombings that resulted in many enemy deaths, as well as of civilians.
8. Johnny Lewis
The Sons of Anarchy actor broke into the home of an 81-year-old woman, ransacked her house and killed her, together with her cat. He then fell or jumped from the roof and died. No drugs or alcohol were in his system at the time.
9. Ted Kennedy
Driving a woman home at night, Kennedy took a wrong turn and drove the car off a bridge by accident. He managed to escape the car but the woman drowned. He fled the scene and didn't report the incident until the morning, when her body had already been found.
10. Phill Lewis
The Scrubs actor was driving in a suburb when he crossed the center line and hit the car of a 21-year-old girl, who later died.
11. Amy Locane
The Cry-Baby and Blue Sky actress was involved in a fatal car collision, which killed a 60-year-old woman and injured her husband as they were turning into their driveway. Her alcohol blood level at the time was three times the normal limit.
