CSI's William Petersen Return To TV Screens
William Petersen will return to TV for Season 2 of WGN America's Manhattan.
Petersen will be a series regular and will play Col. Emmett Darrow, "a religious and patriotic man who's the new ranking military officer at Los Alamos. The colonel feels that it's God's plan for him to usher in the atomic future and spread American values around the world."
The Golden-Globe nominated actor played Dr. Gil Grissom for nine seasons of the hit CBS show, Crime Scene Investigation.
Manhattan tells the story of flawed scientists and their families, who attempt to co-exist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives. and is set against the backdrop of the greatest clandestine race against time in the history of science with the mission to build the world's first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Manhattan stars John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, Daniel Stern, Ashley Zukerman and Rachel Brosnahan.
Aside from appearing on CSI, Petersen played Will Graham in Manhunter, as well as Young Guns II, Fear, Mulholland Falls and The Skulls.
Production on Season 2 of Manhattan begins next month in New Mexico and will return to screens later in 2015.
