Series creator of The Walking Dead and Its new Companion series fear The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman yesterday finally revealed the official name of the series in a tweet which said,
IT'S OFFICIAL! The walking dead companion show on AMC is called FEAR THE WALKING DEAD! Expect more news very soon! #FearTheWalkingDead.
This came as one of many treat to fans this month as it was revealed that the series will run in the main series summer break of 2015 with the second series planned for the same time in 2016. The series will show us what happened in the very beginning of the apocalypse, unlike the main series which started 60 days after the outbreak when Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) wakes up in a hospital after being in a comma.
The series is set in Los Angeles and has got no connections to the original series, although they are in the same world the companion series will start from the beginning of the outbreak. The series stars Cliff Curtis who plays Sean Cabrera a recently divorced teacher who is a dating guidance councillor Nancy Tomkins played by Kim Dickens and her two children Nick and Ashley Tomkins played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey. The series show will focus on a family struggling to survive in a post apocalyptic world and will also show side story lines such as Nancy's son Nick continue to battle drug addiction after the outbreak.
