I've been told by one of my friends repeatedly that Batman is not a superhero because he has no superpowers! Yet, Iron Man is considered a superhero even though he uses his fortune to buy high tech gadgets too! Batman is a Superhero!
Search the question "Is Batman a Superhero?" onto google. You'll find "This is why Superman once called Batman "the most dangerous man in the world". You don't get Supes saying that without having some amazing powers. Batman is a superhero, he's just not a metahuman - to use DC jargon."
"In modern popular fiction, a superhero is a type of heroic character possessing extraordinary talents, supernatural phenomena, or superhuman powers and dedicated to protecting the public. A female superhero is sometimes called a superheroine." That was the definition found on Wikipedia.
They say "Extraordinary," meaning not really normal, not what regular civilians would do or act. Do ordinary civilians fight crime and supervillains? Sure the police and military do that, but do they fight supervillains?
On the Urban dictionary, one of the definitions for superhero is Batman.
Sure, the definition found on sites that don't let just anybody post answers say that superheroes are beings with superpowers but if you were a fan of Batman (maybe even Iron Man too), and you heard someone say that Batman is not a superhero, you'd be OFFENDED!
Superpowers or not, Batman deserves the title of Superhero as much as any hero! Batman once even beat Superman when he was under the influence of Red Kryptonite!
