Have you ever felt like you needed an extra boost of confidence? Something that could make you uninhibited and free, something you could hide behind when you weren't feeling your best? The Mask, which is nearly 21 years old, is about a shy man named Stanley who finds the Mask of Loki. The mask gives him the power to become a magical prankster with no limitations, including physical reality.

This film established Jim Carrey as a dynamic comedian (he was even nominated for a Golden Globe as the role of the Mask), and thrust Cameron Diaz into the world of leading film stars.

Curious as to what the cast has been up to since?

Jim Carrey (Stanley Ipkiss/The Mask)

Post The Mask, Jim Carrey has evidently advanced his acting career in countless films, including Dumb and Dumber, The Truman Show, Bruce Almighty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and many, many more. In 2014, he reprised his role as Lloyd alongside Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber 2. Carrey also delivered the commencement speech at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, where he was given an honorary doctorate for his accomplishments as an artist, comedian, author, and philanthropist.

Cameron Diaz (Tina Carlyle)

Cameron Diaz has an impressive filmography list, with There's Something About Mary, Vanilla Sky, The Holiday, My Sister's Keeper, and The Other Woman to name just a few. Diaz is also known for lending her voice as Fiona in the animated Shrek series. Recently, Diaz has spoken openly about her practice in Transcendental Meditation, in which she claims helps her refresh and recharge. Is it just me, or has she just remained quite the sexy badass?!

Relive the eye-popping moment when Cameron made her sultry entrance in The Mask, below:

Peter Riegert (Lt. Mitch Kellaway)

Peter Riegert also continued with his acting career, but also dabbled in directing, writing, and voice over work. He has acted in such films as Bojangles and The Hit List, TV shows like One Tree Hill and Damages, directed By Courier and King of the Corner, and provided his voice for the narration parts in multiple audio books and a documentary called The First Basketball. Riegert is also set to act in Fox's untitled Dana Klein comedy pilot, in which he will play a conservative, Republican father.

Peter Greene

Peter Green is mostly known as a character actor as well as a brilliant villain. He has appeared in many films and TV shows , including Training Day, H. G. Wells' War of the Worlds, Justified, The Bounty Hunter, and Hawaii Five-0. Although he doesn't seem to be very active nowadays, Greene has consistently struggled with substance abuse problems, but seems to have no more documented drug issues post 2007.

Amy Yasbeck

Amy Yasbeck followed The Mask by acting in many TV shows and films, including Home For the Holidays, Problem Child I and II, The Odd Couple II, That's So Raven, and Hot in Cleveland. Yasbeck is also the widow of actor John Ritter. After his death, Yasbeck filed a $67 million wrongful death lawsuit against Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, claiming that they had diagnosed Ritter's condition, which eventually led to his death. They settled out of court, but then in 2008, the jury cleared the physicians of any misconduct.

Richard Jeni

Richard Jeni mainly dove into the world of comedy after The Mask, and was even ranked a number 57 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest standup actors of all time. This talented man also wore many hats in the industry besides one as an actor. He also possessed skills as a writer, producer, and director. Jeni impressively wrote special material for the 77th Annual Academy Awards. His final performance was in 2007 at a corporate dinner show at the Rio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not long after, Jeni sadly lost his battle with crippling clinical depression paired with insomnia and paranoia. His girlfriend Amy Murphy found him to have committed suicide in his West Hollywood apartment. He later died at Ceder-Sinai Hospital.

I have always wondered what it would be like to be a cartoon, and I often find myself wishing I could find my own Loki Mask. Besides, Jim Carrey actually makes lime green rather flattering, which isn't an easy color to pull off.
