So, everyone has been focusing on [The Inhumans](movie:910490), Captain Marvel, Spiderman (again), Black Panther, Dr Strange and the Defenders. Which is good, because they will all be important to the future of the MCU. However, thinking about the future, who else could we see in phase 4 and beyond?
I've already done my article on Nova possibilities,
and it got me thinking about other marvel properties and how they could be used.
Obviously She-Hulk needs no introduction. Jennifer Walters is a lawyer by day, and spends the rest of her time helping the Avengers or fantastic Four fight crime. She would be a great addition to the MCU, especially since the Hulk needs his own movie and she could join him in it. The only question is who has the rights to her? [Marvel](channel:932254) probably does, but with her spending so much time with the Fantastic four in the comics, I'm not quite sure.
Obviously Captain Britain is a good choice for the MCU, with Chris Evans contract about to expire, it seems [The Avengers](movie:9040) need someone to Captain them (get it?) and Brian Braddock is the man for it. His personality could definitely clash with others in the team, and this could be interesting for the future.
Namor - The Sub Mariner
I know what you're thinking.
1. Isn't this Aquaman? and
2. Marvel don't own him
True, Universal owns Namor, and only Namor, but look what just happened with Spiderman, surely if Marvel can get him, while Sony are using him, then they can get Namor off of Universal, who aren't and never have used him. Why do they bother keeping him? I know everyone (including myself) is excited about Jason Momoa as Aquaman, but Namor's history of being sometimes villain sometimes hero could make him a very interesting component of the MCU.
Frank Castle would be brilliant in the MCU, although I do think that he would be even better as a member of [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](series:722469).
Hercules is a recurring member of the Avengers who could potentially be a great addition once Chris Hemsworth's contract runs out. How can we have an Avengers without the God who doesn't understand earth customs character?
Now that we are getting Captain Marvel, many people think we do not need Ms Marvel. I disagree personally. She is a teen hero, as long as they use the current one, and that seems likely since they are using the current incarnation of Captain Marvel. We need more young superheroes for the older ones to mentor.
Again, many people think "Now we have spiderman, we don't need her" you are wrong. She is an extremely important character within the MCU, and she is often associated with SHIELD, which could make more MCU tie ins to the show.
