So last night was the end of the epic season five of The Walking Dead on AMC. This series has had its ups and downs for fans just as much as our beloved Characters.
Fans have watched from the first season as Rick has evolved to what the situation needed at the time. From a confused husband and father looking for his family, to a leader border lined on power drunk. Rick has a complex personality! Has he turned into the worst possible kind of survivor though? Has he become what he was worried about with Shane back at the farm? He has been making his way through hell and trying to keep his children and the family he has acquired safe but in the process he has begun to loose everything that made him Rick. When he got them to Alexandra was it all too good for him? HELL YEAH! Rick went Shane when he met Jessie and from that point on he was looking for a way to get Pete out of the way. In the season finally it was almost too good to be true for Rick that he was getting rid of the "porch dick" and that he was given permission to do it. So will he get Jessie in season six? I don't really know but it would just be to much positive re-enforcement for bad behavior if he does.
Where has Morgan been? What happened to him? Where the hell did he learn to swing a walking stick like that? These are all questions running through fan minds after last nights episode. The first five minutes of the episode showed that something has created this ninja-jedi master within Morgan. If this is the new Morgan I love him! Hey AMC let's keep him for a season and what he can do to settle Rick before he ends up like Shane.
It has been a whole season now since we lost Beth, but as hard as fans took it Daryl lost more than just a friend that day. Daryl has not been completely the same since Beth entered his life and now that she is gone he has lost a piece of his heart. It has been interesting and heartbreaking watching Daryl work through his loss in his own way. Daryl you will survive and our fan hearts are with you through this time.
Talking Dead let is slip last night that there will be at least one episode with the new Morgan! Lets hope new Rick doesn't scare him off.
Do you prefer clean shaven Rick or hairy Rick?
Back to Rick and his transformation. When joining the community Rick takes a shower and shaves. Some fans may have seen this as him returning to the old fun loving Rick we all fell in love with but I personally think it was just the beginning of the end really. Rick couldn't come to terms with stability, the wild had become his home at this point. Once an animal has been released back into the wild taming them again is rough and this seems to be the case with Rick. All that being said seeing the clean shaven Rick again was great!
So it is that time now, the wait begins for the new season and all the speculations as to what will happen next have begun. How do we get through this summer well fans keep an eye out for "Fear The Walking Dead". This prequel to our favorite Sunday night pass time could be just the fix we are looking for, and answer that burning question "How did this all get started? WTH happened?"
