I'm not a writer. I write because if I were to speak no one would listen. And everything seems more eloquent in the written word. I'm wired

Its bedtime in a place between awake and asleep I find you and take your hand. "Come with me," I say. "I have so much to show you. I promise you'll never regret it and have you home before mom notices." So you take my hand as we thumb our noses at physics leaving the world of the real behind as light fills the room from behind a bookcase.

We step through into another world. A breathtaking beach floating in the sky. Where the stones on the shore are licked by sky not water. And beautiful songs are sung by unseen faces. As I walk you to a Wishing Well thats bucket hangs low beneath the island in the waters of living dreams. "Every dream worth dreaming is kept there," I tell you drawing up the pail as the whole Island trembles and shakes. Your eyes widen in fear as I lay a gentle hand upon your back. "Don't be afraid," I tell you with a smile. "I've been dreaming all my life." And after the shaking stoped something had changed. There was an old brick wall now Just behind us. You smile as I pick up an arm long stick. "You know what this is don't you?" I say striking four select stones. As the quiet is suddenly filled with the sounds of an avalanche. The bricks on the wall quickly rearrange themselve into an opening to Diagon Alley.

We are surrounded by witches and wizards shopping for their daily wears. You bolt from my hand towards Zonko's as I catch you at the door and say, "all joking aside its best we do this alley right." So we grabbed Butter Beers at the Leaky Cauldron. Laughed at patrons measuring wands at Ollivanders then made a deposit at the wizarding bank because we love Worwick Davis. Then I bought us both Secondhand brooms because Im not in a hurry and we had deposited the rest of my money. We got on and shot to the sky and flew on till we got to the boundaries of Fantasia. Where we stoped to watch three racing Snail's race. Watch Rockbiters eat and plow down trees. Then off we went to the ivory tower to make fun of those giant head guys.

And after paying our respects to the Childlike Empress it was time to move on. We left from there upon an Airship still holding on to our brooms for later. Watching the wonders of fantasia pass beneath us.

Then after it got dark we duled with giant swords and played hide and seek in a hundred cabins. You must of hid in fifty closests but only one put winter at your back. You where no longer on the Airship. You turn to a whole new world. As magic filled the air.

And you nearly scare Mr Tummis to death. Till I come out help you both to your feet as pleasantries are exchanged. We then build a dam with Mr. Beaver take a ride on Aslans back and meet Father Christmas who exchanges are second-hand brooms for Firebolts. (I guess I've been good) So with that we kick off from the stone table into the sky. I have one more place I want to take you before we're done. We land our Firebolts and you seem almost confused by what you see.

The Neighborhood of make believe.
The Neighborhood of make believe.

There's a small castle and a carousel and from a tree X the owl gives his greetings. As you want to take Daniel Tiger home with you. At this point I turn to you and say. "I wanted you to see this place. This was once my playground. A whole world of make believe. A place where anything is possible. I wanted you to see this place to remind you that really big dreams start small. And there's nothing wrong with taking your dreams one day at a time. Never rush to grow up. Reality will always be there whenever you're ready .... Okay?" You smile as I pinch your nose. And in the neighborhood of make believe we take the time to polish the stars of night sky. Play kick ball with the moon before making you lay down on a bed of clouds. when suddenly the door opens and my wife walks in. "I should never ask you to tuck her in." She says "You always get her riled up." You giggle as I kiss my little princess goodnight and wisper. "Get some sleep little one its your frist day going to kindergarten at Sky high in the morning ." We both laugh as my wife drags me from the room.
