When you grow up, you get older, but I still own my Spider-Man suit. Want more? www.YouTube.com/McWallyWallace

February 9, 2015 was a cinematic historical event: The day Sony finally agreed [Marvel](channel:932254) to make the deal to share our favorite webslinger. This news made me jump and shout like a kid who got his first action figure for Christmas. My family probably thought something wrong. I was only majorly fan-boying A LOT!

Since that day, so many rumors and speculations have arose. Which actor will play him? Should Marvel tell the Peter Parker or the Miles Morales story? When will we see his first appearance?

Though it has been confirmed from the beginning that Marvel is going to tell the Parker story on the big-screen, there are still many people who wonder if the deal was a good idea because of the fact that we are getting another Spidey Reboot.

Being a huge fan at heart, I just want to see more of the wallcrawler, but being a lover of a good story, and also understanding where people are coming from, Marvel has to bring the best Spider-Man we have seen yet. I'm not just talking about cool web-slinging but the true heart of Peter Parker.

So, (though there are endless more) here are five reasons Marvel's Spider-Man could be the most SPECTACULAR yet:

1. The Heart of Pete

The amazing (pun, I know) thing about Peter Parker is that he is you and me. He's the guy who gets picked on for being too smart or the outsider. He has friends, but he definitely won't get voted "Most Popular" or "Most Likely to be Remembered" for the school yearbook. But deep down, Parker is brilliant and has a huge heart. After fighting crime, he makes sure his Aunt May is doing well. In the mask, he cracks jokes at the bad guys, gets a huge amount of fans (Besides J. Jonah Jameson), but when the mask is off he's back to being the normal teen, who happens to have a huge love for science. We need to see Pete not only suiting up to knock out a couple goons but struggle to live the normal teenage life. That's part of what makes him so relatable. He's a superhero that does fail at times but he keeps going and never quits.

The group makes fun. If only they really knew him.

2. The Book of Jokes

Part of what makes Spider-Man so entertaining is his quick remarks to throw out a humor or two in whatever situation he is in. Whether it's him talking with some of [The Avengers](movie:9040) or the Green Goblin, he always knows how to make a situation more positive by throwing out a wise joke. We need that with Marvel's web-head. Show the struggle he has as living life as Pete, the light-hearted and tough times it can be in high school, but when he puts on the mask let's see some fun with it.

3. The Role Model For Us All

One of the biggest impacts Peter Parker has had on my life is his character. He stands up for what he believes is right. He doesn't back down even when people call him a "menace." He still fights to do good for the good of others. I love Marvel's movies and I believe that bringing this aspect of Spidey, showing the lessons of life that you can do good and be more than what others might think of you, is something amazing. Not only do we see him as someone who not only loves science, his family, and pals, but as someone who stands for what's right even when it's hard to.

4. More Science, More Web

Science is in his blood. Another big aspect of ole Parker is that he is the science wiz who can hold up an intelligent conversation with Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. He made his own web-shooters! That says enough! What would be super cool is to see more of him using his brains and skills with the new Marvel Spider-Man. See him run out of web but make more. Show him working on the web-shooters. I know we saw a glance of that in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 but let's see more of that side of him. Even the use of his webs, let's see more of the things he can use them for in regards to saving people and his own self.

5. The Fun of Being Spider-Man

School in the morning, fight Rhino after dinner, and a midnight swing through the city after finishing his English paper: Let's see Peter Parker love being a superhero. I can't wait until July 28, 2017 to see Marvel's new Spider-Man. It needs to be a full-ride of fun. Yes, we need to see him struggle balancing his personal life and his masked one, but let's see the joy of swinging through the city, the humor in the jokes he cracks at the bad guys, and the on-going love-hate relationship between him and J. Jonah Jameson.

Well, there you have it! I know there are so many more things that I can't wait to see what Marvel will do, but those are five of my wants to see in the new Spider-Man. Come sooner 2017! Marvel, you rock!
