If there wasn't already a good reason for us to lose our collective shit come May 1st, with Avengers: Age of Ultron hitting theater screens, Collider has just revealed that a brand new Star Wars trailer is set to play before Marvel's superhero-ensemble blockbuster!

That's right - not only will you get to see Stark and co. locked in an epic battle to save humanity from extinction, but you'll also be treated to a second look at Abrams' hotly anticipated franchise re-imagining, gloriously rendered on the big screen.

Like This, But 100 Times Bigger

The new trailer will premiere first at the annual Star Wars Celebration convention, due to take place from April 16th to 19th.

It seems unlikely that Disney will be able to prevent videos of this new footage from leaking online, though it's currently unclear whether or not the trailer will be released officially prior to Age of Ultron's first screenings. In any case, this'll be your prime opportunity to catch a glimpse of The Force Awakens at cinemas.

The first teaser certainly did a good job at whetting my eager appetite for the series' seventh installment, but a lot of expectation lies on this mysterious new footage, which will hopefully answer a lot more of our burning questions.

3 Things I Want to See in the New Trailer

Before we get on to what we can expect, a quick reminder of that chill-inducing unveiling:

That Millennium Falcon reveal gets me every time! So, that's what we already know - here's what we want to know...

1. A First Look at the Returning Characters

While we know Han, Leia and Luke will be returning for Episode 7, we've yet to catch a glimpse at their overhauled appearance. If this trailer doesn't want to disappoint, it'd better give us a look at the holy trinity of Star Wars characters, now all grown up.

2. The Lo-down on Kylo Ren

The new villain still remains shrouded in mystery, and I'm desperate to know more. Though Adam Driver is hotly tipped to be playing the broad-sword wielding badass, it's time to officially put a face to a name and see who our plucky heroes are up against.

3. Lightsaber Combat

It'll be interesting to see what kind of approach Abrams is taking with the action sequences - will we get the frenetic, CGI-heavy combat of Episodes 1 - 3, or the more methodically paced duels of 4 - 6? Let's hope the new trailer will reveal all...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18th.
