It's always risky rebooting a horror movie as beloved as Stephen King's IT, but it looks like the team behind the creepy new venture are taking a (Penny)wise approach. Oh, and the really exciting part? They're gonna start filming in June.

I know, I know, any wait is too long, but here are some cool details:

True Detective's Cary Fukunaga will direct IT

Did you see True Detective? It was dark, stylish and creepy - everything the new Pennywise outing needs.

IT might be a trilogy

Stephen King always felt that even the mammoth adaptation of IT was not quite long enough to do his mega-long book justice, so a three-parter would be a nice chance to develop previously unexplored areas of the book. Three times the fun!

The script is ready, and King would be proud

Scriptwriter Seth Grahame-Smith promised to harness some of the brutal energy of Stephen King's original novel, saying that the IT reboot,

will bring back some of the viciousness of the book that they couldn’t do with the miniseries because it was for broadcast… I think it’s going to be very scary.

I don't know about you guys, but I think this is one horror remake that may surprise us. What do you think?
