As we're all painfully aware, Uncharted: A Thief's End is no longer a 2015 game. The PS4 will have to suffer without the presence of Nathan Drake for another year. Well, not if this remastered Uncharted trilogy screenshot is to be believed! I seriously hope that E3 unveils the release date of this collection. Even though we're saturated with remasters at the moment, it'd be one collection I'd welcome.

But now, as we wait for Naughty Dog's next masterpiece and followup to the glorious The Last of Us, we can't help but wonder why the release date delay has occurred. Neil Druckman stated that the title had become more ambitious then they had anticipated. The story was going in a direction that required a lot more work, and we really feel like it could be something to do with the betrayal of Nathan's brother, Sam Drake.

Could Sam Drake Betray His Brother in Uncharted 4?

One of the earliest pieces of information that we received about Uncharted 4 , was an old cryptic trailer and series of quotes. One particular quote, was laden with grief, anger and the hints of revenge. We now know that the person uttering this monologue was indeed Nathan's brother.

Troy Baker has since taken over the role of Sam Drake, since these words were uttered by the great Todd Stashwick. Now following these days, Uncharted 4's director has left and been replaced by Druckmann, so perhaps a new approach has been taken by the new team. However, these words still burn in our ears.

They are words of anger and potential hostility. I really don't think that Sam Drake will be someone that we can trust in Uncharted 4 A Thief's End. Druckmann has spoken of how emotional this climactic episode is for Nathan Drake. Could we see his own brother betray him after coming back into his life after all of these years? Is he really a threat to the great life that Nathan has amassed for himself?

All we know is that Uncharted 4 will definitely take some great twists. And if the man who made us cry in the opening 15 minutes of The Last of Us is saying that this is emotional, you know that this is going to hurt. Uncharted 4 will finally get its release date for the PS4 in 2016, and we hope that it'll be worth the long and arduous wait!
