Autobots assemble!

A ridiculously talented father and son duo have created something quite extraordinary using nothing more than scrap metal, elbow grease and no little talent: life-size replicas of Transformers Bubblebee and Optimus Prime.

Yu and Lu Zhilin from Hunan Province, southeastern China have created a lucrative business turning discarded car parts into incredible sculptures - and have made a ton of money doing it.

They take useless scrap like this

And get to work creating a masterpiece

The form starts to take shape

And the final results are pretty spectacular

In fact, the dynamic duo have been able to turn their talents into a bona fide business and are now raking in over one million yuan (over US$160,000) per year selling their models.
