In the latest episode of The CW's The Flash we learn more about Wells and his true nature in Barry's story. But mainly its about bringing back a classic villain...The Trickster. It has been confirmed for a while that Mark Hammill would be returning. Boy he doesn't disappoint! A very similar character to the Joker, but slightly toned down with some very comical moments throughout the episode. We find out during the episode that the copycat of the Trickster is the son of the original Trickster. (Shocker!) Barry and the team must stop the Double Tricksters while Barry is fighting to keep his emotions in about Wells. Joe and Barry work together to find out more about Wells and his secret. While Iris is looking for the reporter that went missing which could lead to dark waters for her in the future. the episode is filled with subplots that will eventually build into more intense episodes.
Throughout the episode we see flashbacks of Wells/Thawne story and finally understand who they really are. In the beginning of the episode it takes us back to the night of Barry's mother's death. Two Speedsters appear through a wormhole of some sort. Both Speedsters fight in Barry's home and the events take place again, but through the Speedsters perspective. Eobard Thawne's powers fizzle away while chasing Barry, and the true face of Thawne is revealed. Later another flashback occurs with Wells's and his wife on a beach and Thawne is watching from a distance. One last flashback occurs and Wells's and his wife are in a accident, and Thawne reveals his story to Wells. Wells's wife dies in the accident and Thawne uses a technology to fuse Wells's body and his body together. Wells's is physically the Reverse Flash and Thawne is mentally the Reverse Flash. Wells's has been a vessel of Thawne from the beginning. (Surprise!)
The background of Wells's is finally clear and the fans were very wrong about Wells and who he really is. There is one question though...Is Wells buried deep within Thawne like Ronnie and Dr. Stein? Could Wells still be in there fighting to get out? Are we going to see the same technology used on Ronnie and Dr. Stein to separate Wells and Thawne? All questions that could very much happen in the upcoming episodes. With only six episodes left in the season we still need to have Gorilla Grodd come into play along with another clash with the Rogues. There will be some intense stuff coming our way very soon. Is Barry ready? Hell, are we ready? So far very big shocks have emerged in the season. I am curious what the other theories out there are.
