They say bigger isn't always necessarily better, though this insanely awesome, mammoth Hunter costume would certainly beg to differ!

The full-scale ensemble, standing a whopping 12 ft tall, was built by cosplayer Alexis Smith, who unveiled her masterpiece in the making at the Emerald City Comic-Con last weekend. It's a remarkable hulking beast and one of the most impressive Halo-inspired outfits I've ever seen. Check this out:

I can't imagine what it would feel like being strapped into that bad boy!

One of her fellow cosplayers talks about the values the Halo franchise stands for:

It's just always been a huge love of mine. I really love the values that Halo teaches of loyalty and community and I just think it's a really great way to live your life - being as strong as the person next to you. If everybody held those values then the world would be a much better place.

The art of cosplay is a wonderful way to pay tribute to the franchises fans passionately crowd behind, expressing their inner geekery in immensely fun and creative ways.

You can catch a glimpse of the suit - and other Halo cosplayers - in action in Cosplay Boom's video below:

Keep it up, guys and gals!
