Disney Is Working On a Live-Action 'Winnie the Pooh' Movie

Seriously. First Mulan, now this.

According to THR, a live-action Winnie the Pooh is on Disney's list of animated projects they want to remake for the big screen. Keep in mind that their last Winnie the Pooh movie came out in 2011.

You know, that movie with the Keane cover by Lily Allen. Who could forget?

The film will apparently center around an adult Christopher Robin, who will return to the Hundred Acre Wood as an adult. This will clearly be more Alice in Wonderland than Maleficent or Cinderella, since this film is apparently more a sequel than it is a remake.

Alex Ross Perry (Listen Up Phillip) is writing the film, which is still in preproduction. We can probably expect the movie to be released by late 2016 or 2017, depending on how much CGI they have planned for the project. It could be as early as spring next year.
