The Marvel Cinematic Universe is great. There's either been amazing, good or above average movies created by Marvel Studios. And the actors are always fantastic in every movie. But we all have to face the fact that one day, RDJ, Evans, Hemsworth and the rest of The Avengers cast will have to part ways either due to old age or having their contract expire. So, without further ado, who should replace them when the inevitable time comes.
Tony Stark/Iron Man-Leonardo DiCaprio
I should say this now: this guy annoys me. He isn't a bad actor, or a bad person, quite the opposite. It's just something about him that really bugs me, and I think it's his performance as Romeo in the 1997 movie version of The Shakespeare play. But I'd be lying if I said he would make a terrible Tony Stark. He has the looks, the abilities, and this could land the guy an Oscar.
TIE: Bucky Barnes OR Sam Wilson/Captain America-Sebastian Stan OR Anthony Mackie
After Steve Rogers comes Bucky Barnes in the Captain America mantle. And recently in the comics, Sam Wilson became the All-New Captain America. So, I'd love to see both versions of Cap on screen, and I'm going to cheat out and have both.
As some may know, there is now a female Thor in Earth 616. So why not have a female Thor in Earth...MCU, I guess. And who better than Emma Stone to portray her? You may know her as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man series, but I think Marvel Studios can persuade her to play Thor in future movies, possibly after Infinity War.
Bruce Banner-Joseph Gordon-Levitt
I don't know why, but ever since I watched Avengers, I thought 'What if the guy who was John Blake played Bruce Banner?' And I can still see that happening. He can most likely pull off an awkward scientist trying to find a way to stop turning into The Green Giant off of the Sweet Peas cans.
Natasha Romanov/Black Widow-Shailene Woodley
Honestly, if anyone can replace Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, it's Shailene Woodley. She was going to play Mary Jane Watson back in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 before that got cut out, and she now plays Tris Prior in The Divergent movies, so that's a definite plus right there.
Clint Barton/Hawkeye-Michael Cera
Hawkeye is meant to be funny. That was the one aspect of the character they didn't manage to get right. So, to be a funny character, you have to have a funny actor. And the guy from Scott Pilgrim is perfect. He's young and we've seen his talents in previous movies he has starred in.
Matt Murdock/Daredevil-James Franco
What is it with me and ex-Spidey actors? Anyway, you know James Franco from the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies as he was Harry Osborn in them among other movies. Something about his looks and skills as an actor makes me think he could be a great Daredevil!
Nick Fury-Obba Babatunde
He may not have uttered 'I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHERF*CKIN' SNAKES ON THIS MOTHERF*CKIN' PLANE!' and he may not have been the only guy in Star Wars movies to wield a purple lightsaber like a badass, but he can defiantly play Nick Fury. Go see some of his movies like Black Dynamite and you'll understand. It's either him or Arsenio Hall.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man: Logan Lerman
No matter how much I want to be the new actor to play Spider-Man since Andrew Garfield was fired, if I can't get it, god damn it, I want Logan Lerman to do it. He's perfect. He has the looks, the skills, everything. Marvel, either sign a contract with this guy or me. Please.
