The above image is a picture of what the stage looked like at the beautiful Gorge Amphitheater located in George, Washington in 1986. This is what it looked like in 1995......
Pretty packed and beautiful right? Well that was 20 years ago. Now this venue attracts roughly 25,000 people for their major festival events such as Sasquatch, Paradiso, Dave Matthews Band, and Watershed. Here are some pictures that my fiance and I took at last years Paradiso Festival...
TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND IMAGINE HAVING THAT VIEW IN THE BACKGROUND ALWAYS AT A CONCERT AND HOW FREEING IT WOULD FEEL
While the stage has grown in size and budget over the years one thing has remained the same, and that is the utter beauty that you get to look at while attending a concert of any genre at the most beautiful venue in the United States.
Which brings me to the reason I am here writing this article. I have been in touch with producer Tim Williams and his team that are making a film about the story of the Gorge entitled "Enormous: The Gorge Story" that is chronicling the history of the venue and the history of select few people who have tremendous stories to share about the venue. I myself have only gone there once for Paradiso last year but I instantly fell in love with a place so beautiful and freeing. To my fellow EDM fans it has one of the greatest electronic music festivals in the world Paradiso that has been running four years now.
This will not be the only article I write pertaining to the Documentary that will continue filming this summer, this is just the article to get the word out, if you have ever been to The Gorge or a venue like it for any type of festival then please give us your support so that we can get this made. For anyone looking for a taste of what its like there I will be posting more videos from last years Paradiso as well as other festivals held there within the last few years.
And one more thing, I have a chance to be in this movie as one of the focuses of people having a blast at the Gorge so please fellow creators, readers, and Kandi Kids all support helps. Below is a video I took on my cell phone last year of Krewella performing at the Gorge and if you look around you can see everyone having the time of their life. Also beneath that is a video of my fiance and I with our best friend Sidney dancing during the same set.
I will be posting more articles on this for sure but this is just a taste of what great experiences can be had when you go to the most beautiful venue in the world. P.L.U.R.
