Marvel movies, almost everyone loves 'em, very few hate 'em! But only true fans know how to watch 'em! Here is my somewhat satirical, somewhat serious guide to watching any Marvel movie for the most dedicated Marvel fans!

1. Know the characters before you watch the movie

Thanks you for existing, Marvel Comics!
Thanks you for existing, Marvel Comics!

The advantage of the MCU being based off of the actual comic books is that we can get to know our characters a bit before they hit the silver screen! For example, when Thor was announced way back in the beginnings of the MCU, I went onto some Marvel Comics-themed websites and picked up a couple comic books to learn a bit more about Thor! It made my movie experience a bit more enjoyable, and I was able to understand a few things before they were explained in the movie!

2. Watch all the trailers and absorb all promotional material- or don't watch and absorb any of it!

I definitely fall into category one here, as soon as a trailer or poster or any info is released or leaked, I'm on top of it! I know its useless to try and restrain myself, so I go all out! I have met quite a few people, however, who avoid all promotional material to the extent that they will shut off their TV's during any TV spots, unlike/unfollow any and all Marvel-related social media pages, and completely shut out all news of the movie except the release date! Now that's dedication!

3. When you watch a Marvel movie in theaters for the first time, dress up as your favorite character from the movie, especially if its a team-up like Avengers!

If you're gonna watch the movie in theaters, why not go all-out? I've got my Captain America cosplay (in the picture above with my siblings) ready for Avengers: Age of Ultron! (It was as low cost as possible, besides the shield, take it easy!)

4. Watch the movie in theaters at least 10 times!

Eat popcorn with intense joy on face!

Pretty much any Marvel movie is worth the cost of admission! If you really don't want to pay the cost over and over again, get a friend who works at a movie theater, free and discounted movies galore!

5. Never, EVER, leave the movie before the credits are over!!!!

Just don't!
Just don't!

Why would anybody leave the theater before the credits are over?!?! The post-credits scene is often one of the highlights of the movie, whether its a joke or a serious reveal of something yet to come! Marvel are absolute geniuses in the post-credits department, it is a sin to leave before the credits are over! Seriously, if you do this, you need to turn in your nerd-card. NOW.

Hopefully this guide will assist you in all of your future Marvel Cinematic Universe movie-going endeavors!
