Getting caught up in the epic story-lines and action-packed adventures of our favorite cartoons, we often forget that animation's finest characters don't actually represent human beings.
Thankfully, the following 14 artists have taken the time to consider what these robots, monsters and animals would actually look like if they became fully-fledged people.
Take a look at the fantastic fan-art of some of the most famous faces in animation below and see if you agree:
1. Chip & Dale and Gadget
The two chipmunks are joined by Gadget, complete with her lavender mechanic coveralls and blue goggles.
2. Donald Duck
Donald Duck looks just as temperamental in human skin. I'm also very glad the artist decided to blur out his nether region - it's really not something I would like to see.
3. Eve & Wall-E
I love the rubix cube detail.
Does this Psychic-type Pokémon hypnotize you?
5. Lola Bunny - Space Jam
This is phenomenally hot and that's all I have to say about that.
6. Mike Wazowski & Sulley
Monsters University never looked so good.
7. Optimus Prime
This is exactly how I would imagine the leader of the Autobots to look like. He can protect me any day!
8. Pinky & the Brain
Yep, Brain still looks like an evil rodent.
9. Po, Tigres, Monkey, Mantis, Crane and Viper
In human form, the Kung Fu Panda gang still retain their animal features.
Mufasa's brother looks ready to become King of the Pride Lands.
Relive the two siblings coming head-to-head in the short clip below:
11. SpongeBob & Patrick
I wonder what Bikini Bottom would look like in real life?
Simba as a teen bears an uncanny resemblance to his lion counterpart - just look at that mane!
This lovely creature from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is just as enchanting as a human.
14. Lightning McQueen
