Wolverines #13: After about 5 months of Wolverine, people are starting to get confused and annoyed with the entire set. Now, I am not going to say that some parts are not entertaining. This specific issue is fun, but, as part of the Wolverines saga, serves no purpose at all. We are now in month 4 of this weekly set, and still no actual plot has come about. I can't even try and explain what it's supposed to be about or what the purpose of it being a weekly even is. With just 7 parts to go, I have to assume that the writers will speed things along and get to the conclusion that is coming. But, a conclusion to what?I have no clue.

Now, about this issue. In the last issue,we learned that [Deadpool](movie:38663) was actually buying all the Wolverine merchandise in a hope of becoming the new Wolverine. His first mission is to battle the Hulk, since that is what Logan did in his first appearance. Taking art styles from Wolverines first appearance in Hulk #181 and even dialogue from that issue (just spoken by Deadpool), we have a battle that nobody wants to see but we can't look away from it. It's like a trainwreck. We get appearances from just about every super team as Deadpool attempts to become a member of the team (since Wolverine is also in every team). Charles Soule writes an amusing unhinged Wade, but this set really needs to find its footing fast and tell us what it's really about. I give this issue a 8 out of 10. It's a good issue, but doesn't need to be part of Wolverines.
