It may have been part of an elaborate April Fool's Day prank, but this phenomenal trailer is enough to make me want this as a reality.

Big Bee Studio created an incredible glimpse into what an X-Wings movie might look like now that Disney owns Lucasfilm. Some major elements of Star Wars get the Pixar treatment, leading to a Cars-like parody that hits all the major notes we've come to expect out of the animation powerhouses.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this looks like it could actually be a successful movie. Watch for yourself, but be forewarned that you might end up writing letters to important people to ensure this project comes to fruition.

See? It's time to get our nicest stationery out and start this letter-writing campaign. Yeah, it might be quicker, easier, and more effective to do a similar thing on Twitter, but don't you think Pixar would really appreciate getting flooded with mail?

No? Oh, well, in that case, onto the breakdown!

You know a trailer is about to be great when even the disclaimer is awesome

A wise and hilarious move for a company that is famously litigious.

The trailer promises everything you could ever want from a Disney Star Wars animated adventure

Like epic space battles! But it doesn't stop there. There's a whole slew of classic tropes to expect, like...

Lighthearted comedy!

Who doesn't need more stand-up jokes about Admiral Ackbar?

Forbidden romance

How do anthropomorphic starfighters show affection for one another?

Catchy musical numbers

Someone needs to get Randy Newman and James Earl Jones on a conference call and lock down the collaboration for "You Got a Dad in Me."

And much, much more!

Including the requisite appearance by John Ratzenberger and a certain recognizable truck from a certain special pizza restaurant .

I mean, it goes without saying: this movie has it all. Sadly, it doesn't even exist yet, but maybe one day we'll see something as fun as this?

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that Felicia Day leant her voice to Perwinkle 19, which makes this video even more perfect.
