Everyone's favorite "merc with a mouth" is finally getting the film he deserves. The upcoming Deadpool movie is sure to push boundaries and become a fresh addition in the comic book movie genre. Fans have been waiting years for a proper live-action action portrayal of the character after the disappointment that was X-men origins: Wolverine. Deadpool will excite new and familiar audiences since the character is different from many of the upcoming comic book movies due to its breaking of the forth-wall and its ultra-meta humor.

Here's the plot synopsis:

In an effort to cure his cancer, former special forces operative Wade Wilson was subjected to an experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, disfigured skin, and a "dark, twisted" sense of humor. Armed with new abilities and a new identity, Wilson hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life

What's interesting about this movie is how passionate Ryan Reynolds is about doing justice to the character. He expressed his discontent about his previous portrayal of the character and told fans, mostly via twitter, that he intended to correct the mistake. Since then reynolds has been promoting the film in deadpool-fashion while talking about how great it is to finally play the character in a way that actually keeps the spirit of the comic books. Based on the trailers reynolds seems to be keeping that promise, but the real test comes when the film is released in february. If all goes well, we will be seeing alot more of Deadpool and since the studio is already prepping a sequel they must be confident about the film's performance.
