Though you might remember her best as Andrea from [The Walking Dead](series:201193), actress Laurie Holden was familiar to the sci-fi and fantasy crowd long before the zombie apocalypse started, when she starred in the groundbreaking paranormal series [The X-Files](series:766780) as Marita Covarrubias.

Last night, whilst chatting with fans over Twitter, Holden answered many questions about her time on The Walking Dead, however she also took the time to answer a question from Comicbook.com writer Ross Burlingame about the possibility of her character Marita returning to The X-Files reboot, which is getting underway soon and will be screened in 2016. Check out Holden's very intriguing response:

Well, that's definitely not a "no," and she doesn't seem uninterested! The X-Files creator Chris Carter needs to get on this ASAP, we'd love to see Laurie Holden reprise her role, and surely after her success on The Walking Dead she would be a fantastic addition to the team?!

In The X-Files Holden's character, Marita Covarrubias, was introduced in Season 4 as an informant to Mulder, following the death of his former source, X. She appeared intermittently throughout the remainder of the show, appearing in the series finale to testify in Mulder's trial for murder. Her character would be very interesting to bring back for the reboot, though I guess the best we can do is wait and see! Now that all the main characters from the original series have signed on, perhaps it's only a matter of time!
