Sure, I'm scared of going to hospital... the needles... the uniforms... and all of the horror movies I've watched about creepy doctors probably don't help. But ghosts on the ward? That's the worst!

1. Gonjiam Hospital

Location: South Korea

Resident spirit: Though Gonjiam supposedly cared for the mentally ill, its owner is said to have been clinically insane, fleeing when authorities discovered he was keeping people in the hospital under false pretenses. Patients would die in inexplicable ways, and now roam the hospital, full of resentment and rage...

2. Linda Vista Community Hospital

Location: LA, USA

Resident spirit: Linda Vista is actually used as a filming location in many famous movies, such as End of Days, and Insidious 2 & 3, so it has played host to many different 'ghosts' over the years!

3. The Ridges a.k.a. Athens Lunatic Asylum

Abandoned in: 1990s

Location: Ohio, USA

Resident spirit: Margaret Schilling went missing in 1978, her body was found a year later. The story goes that she was playing Hide-And-Seek with some nurses and never returned, hiding in that same spot until she died, leaving a perfect impression of her body upon the ground that is still visible now.

4. Nocton Hall Hospital
