The second trailer for Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens is probably a mere couple of weeks away from making its public debut. The Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California is about to get underway and it is expected that fans lucky enough to make it down there will be treated to the heavily anticipated new trailer at some point over the three day event from April 16th to the 19th.

Star Wars 7 Second Trailer Tease

Shortly before the release of the first trailer, the folks at Making Star Wars released a scoop on the details of what footage we'd be seeing and they're at it again with the second trailer. It was expected that this new Star Wars 7 trailer would be expanding a bit on the four new characters that were introduced last time - Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron and Kylo Renn, as well as showing the first glimpse of our old friends Han, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca and the droids R2D2 and C3PO.

Well, it sounds like one major character may be receiving an epic tease that will have to wait until the third trailer because this scoop is telling us that Luke Skywalker won't be making an appearance quite yet. Very crafty, JJ Abrams, I must say. What better way to make immediately build up anticipation for a third trailer than to continue to keep Luke Skywalker's reveal under wraps?

Original Trilogy Characters

So what is MSW telling us to expect from the second Star Wars 7 trailer? Well, it sounds like they'll be wasting no time in re-introducing us to the majority of the original trilogy characters in Han Solo, Princess Leia (or Queen Leia, as the case may be) and the droids. We'll then see a shot of that crashed Star Destroyer on the desert planet that was featured in the concept art leak.

Whether or not these scenes of the sand planet are Tatooine still seems to be a point of debate, but it's expected that we will see the planet Yavin in this trailer. It's rumored that those shots of the X-Wings flying over water from the first trailer were taking place on Yavin, we'll see if they match up.

We'll then see Finn wielding a blue lightsaber - which could also match up with the shot of his character and Rey looking surprised when they first activate the lightsaber early on in the movie.

Second Trailer Look at the Villains

Then we'll reportedly get a better look at a couple of the villains from Star Wars Episode 7 when we get a brief look at "Captain Phasma" (this name still hasn't won me over), the Stormtrooper boss that Gwedonline Chiristie is playing, followed by a better look at Kylo Ren including his helmet.

It sounds like we'll get a better look at Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron as we see him shoot down a TIE fighter, could it be the TIE fighter that Finn is trying to escape in? That shot is followed by one of Poe and Finn walking past each other at a Rebel base of some kind.

Better Looks at Rey & Poe Dameron

A better look at Rey is mentioned as she is described as being in a few shots including her looking up at TIE fighters - maybe witnessing the crash landing that Finn makes on her planet before she speeds off after it?

More footage of Poe Dameron, R2D2 and C3PO follows, as well as our first look at the Star Wars Episode 7 CGI character that is rumored to go by the name of Rose - someone from Rey's planet that is supposed to play a big part in how the characters begin their search for Luke Skywalker.

Then comes a shot of BB-8 hanging out on the back of an X-Wing followed by footage of Kylo Ren's "Imperial shuttle" getting a TIE Fighter escort to a Star Destroyer. We'll get another look at the Millennium Falcon and X-Wings zooming by before the trailer ends with a shot of the burned out Darth Vader helmet sitting on top a podium of some sort.

Yes, the report takes note to mention that we don't see Luke Skywalker and we won't be seeing any of the mysterious Sith Lord that Andy Serkis is expected to be playing. Also, it deserves to be noted that there is no mention of the character that Max von Sydow is playing either. Or Chewbacca, for that matter!

What do you think? Does this description make you even more eager to see the second trailer for [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](movie:711158)? Is it missing too much? Take to the comments, dear readers!
