As you might remember, the first images of Jesse Eisenberg as Superman's hairless arch nemesis Lex Luthor appeared online in the last few weeks, and, to me at least, quelled any doubts I had about the young actor pulling off Luthor's trademark look - he looks positively terrifying with a shaved head!

I'm sure you'll agree, it's a pretty shocking transformation. As he prepared for his role in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (due out next year), Eisenberg spoke to Seth Meyers on his Late Night show about his new, visually arresting appearance:
"I've never been able to touch my scalp. It's freezing. It's really strange. You know, it's the kind of thing where you feel like 'I can really damage myself.' You wanna wear a helmet. It's terrifying, it's terrifying.
You'd think there would be something more threatening than the floral arrangement [on my head]. Everything is like shrouded in secrecy and the people are shrouded in bandannas. You know, Superman, Henry Cavill, in like baggy sweatpants."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice features an all-star cast, including Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter. The film is currently due for release on March 25, 2016.
