Further building up excitement for the May 1st release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel has released a new banner to whet our appetites, and it doesn't disappoint!
Marvel has been holding back from releasing images of Paul Bettany as The Vision. This image released by Entertainment Weekly is the first time we can see what the character will look like in the movie.
There've been a few teasing promotional shots and a glimpse in the trailer, but now we have the whole package!
And he looks really freakin' awesome!
The banner of course features Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and The Vision looking like they mean business against a menacing Ultron.
Hype is gaining momentum for the big release on May 1st!
In the passage below, Entertainment Weekly quotes what the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, said this about the creation of Vision. Be warned, it may contain slight spoilers! If you want to hold out a few more weeks resist the temptation!
"Strucker has been using Loki’s scepter for human experimentation, which bestowed the siblings with powers of magic (Scarlet Witch) and speed (Quicksilver). But the bad baron piques the interest of Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark for other reasons. “Von Strucker was working on a lot of stuff, including robotics,” says Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. “Tony realizes, ‘[Those robotics] might be able to help me get over the hump of some of the AI stuff I’ve been working on.’?” Stark’s invention, Ultron, is born from the marriage of both men’s technologies. Alas, adolescence is a bitch, and Ultron goes rogue, shreds Stark’s other artificial-intelligence program, J.A.R.V.I.S., and gives rise to his own awesome creation: the synthezoid known as the Vision (played by Paul Bettany, who previously voiced J.A.R.V.I.S.)."
The magazine has also released some awesome looking covers for the next issue!
If this has got you all excited for the release, take another look at the trailer!
