Today I sat down and decided to watch Rush for the first time, Rush revolves around the true story of James Hunt and Niki Lauda's rivalry during the 1976 Grand Prix. The lead roles are played by Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl respectively.
They are tons of positives to this film, which include: great acting, great story, good realism, good CGI and it showed lots of the races. To expand on these, I thought the acting in the film was really good especially Daniel Brühl as Niki Lauda, I thought he brought something special to the role which was played very well; also the story is portrayed well, the true story is so good to begin with so I was glad it was dealt with extremely well by Ron Howard. Another positive which really isn't a positive more than taking away a negative, is that they showed a lot of the races; someone told me before I saw it that there wasn't a lot of racing in the film so I was disappointed about that but I would disagree with that person, so I was glad to see a lot of racing in the film.
There is barely one negative to this film but I have to mention it as it stops the film from achieving full marks; that negative is that the story isn't complex or extremely emotional, the film is very good and the story is good but I wasn't completely attached to the characters so it can't have full marks.
So taking everything into consideration I think this film is extremely good so I have to rate the film:
