We may be three years away from Flash finally getting his own movie, but it looks like we may know who could be steering the Scarlett Speedster to the big screen. The duo that helped create a film franchise for Warner Bros with last year’s surprise hit, The Lego Movie, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, are now helping to develop the highly anticipated The Flash movie for the studio. The pair are currently working on a treatment for The Flash, which is set to arrive in theaters on March 23rd, 2018. The Perks of Being a Wallflower’s Ezra Miller has already landed the role, prompting many to believe he’ll be make his big screen debut in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will be the launching pad for DC’s own Cinematic Universe. Following that, he is expected to be a part of the November 2017 Justice League: Part 1 movie with The Flash being the first DC movie set after. Despite working on the treatment for The Flash, Lord and Miller have not yet committed to directing the project. They have so far not decided what their next project will be and are reportedly also being wooed by Sony Pictures to reteam with their 21 Jump Street star, Channing Tatum, for a new Ghostbusters movie, that would help turn that franchise into a shared universe alongside next year’s Paul Feig directed all-female movie. So who’s excited for Phil Lord and Chris Miller to be working on The Flash movie and do you think they would be a good choice to direct or would you rather see them take on the Ghostbusters movie?
