With the announcement of Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the casting of the main characters for the upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast is almost complete.

Some of the characters that are still missing from the picture are: Lumiere, Chip, and Monsieur D'Arque.

Who should be cast for these roles?

For Chip, maybe Daniel Huttlestone. He was in the film versions of Les Miserables and Into The Woods, so he has musical experience. The only downside, he may be too old to play Chip, who was probably no older than 10 in the original Beauty and the Beast.

For Lumiere, the film needs a French actor, so why not Jean Dujardin? The only question does he have musical experience?

Finally, Monsieur D'Arque. In the original film, he only appears in two scenes and conspires with Gaston to send Maurice to the asylum unless Belle agrees to marry Gaston. So, only two scenes, but significant scenes nonetheless. If not for his advanced age, I'd suggest Christopher Lee. But perhaps another Sith Lord from a galaxy far, far away? Ian McDiarmid might fit the bill. As Palpatine, he had both the charm and menace, and D'Arque certainly has the menace.

Would these make good additions to the cast? If not, what are your suggestions?

As it stands, Beauty and the Beast already has an excellent cast, and I can't wait for March 2017 to roll around.
