We've all had coworkers that have left us gritting our teeth with rage and the following celebs know the unholy fury of having to work alongside someone they hate.
While us mere mortals have to climb the ivory tower to management or make some sneaky laxative brownies to get revenge, the stars need only open their mouths and trash their nemesis' to sway the world on a co-worker's reputation.
Below are the juiciest beefs from the fiery hell's kitchen that is Hollywood, but who do you think delivered the sickest burn?
13. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry
Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' was totally about a fellow pop-star and it doesn't take a genius to realize it's Katy Perry:
"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’”
Then, apparently the unbelievable happened:
“She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.”
Uh oh! Could it be that she started dating Taylor's ex, John Mayer? That's probably a part of it.
12. Will Smith and Aunt Viv from The Fresh Prince
Actress Janet Hubert harbored a real hatred for her Fresh Prince co-star, Will Smith, who she said was an “egomaniac.” However, according to Smith, Hubert tended to be over-dominating on set and supposedly wanted it to be the “Aunt Viv of Bel-Air” show.
Hubert still blames the actor for her replacement and refuses to meet him at any reunions because "he has not grown up." Talk about a clinging onto a grudge!
11. Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman
Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman might be working together on Secret in Their Eyes at the moment, but it's no secret that the pair loathe each other.
According to the National Enquirer, Roberts has nicknamed Kidman "her majesty" because the Aussie actress is a demanding diva who refuses to chat to the mere peasants in the crew. A source from the set told interviewers that:
"Julia HATES the way Nicole treats the crew! She acts like they’re servants, and doesn’t talk to them – except to issue commands – while Julia now knows everyone by first names, and makes a point of being friendly."
10. Mel Gibson and Joe Eszterhas
Mel Gibson and legendary screenwriter Joe Eszterhas had an explosive falling out in 2009 while working together on a script about the Maccabean revolt against the Romans in ancient Judea.
Unfortunately, Gibson's attempt to distance himself from his 2006 anti-Semitic tirade did not work out the way he planned when the bullish Eszterhas refused to work with Gibson anymore due to his "hatred of the Jews."In a nine page open letter, Eszterhas told Gibson:
"You continually called Jews 'Hebes' and 'oven-dodgers' and 'Jewboys.' It seemed that most times when we discussed someone, you asked 'He's a Hebe, isn't he?' You said most 'gatekeepers' of American companies were 'Hebes' who 'controlled their bosses."
Gibson wrote a letter back stating that the accusations against him were "utter fabrications" and accused Eszerhas of writing a substandard script. He wrote:
"I would have thought that a man of principle, as you purport to be, would have withdrawn from the project regardless of the money if you truly believed me to be the person you describe in your letter. I guess you only had a problem with me after Warner Brothers rejected your script."
9. Christina Aguilera and Kelly Osbourne
Christina Aguilera and Kelly Osbourne have been having a big fat feud over who happens to be the most blubbery for years now, and there is still no love lost between the pair.
The drama began when Kelly Osbourne mocked Aguilera's Christmas CD on The Osbournes. After the slight, Aguilera repeatedly got revenge by calling Kelly fat and publicly humiliating her with taunts at the 2003 MTV movie awards.
Clearly Kelly isn't a forgiving person because in a 2011 episode of the Fashion Police she reveled over Aguilera's weight gain and said:
"Maybe she's [Christina] just becoming the fat bitch she was always born to be. I don't know. She was a c*** to me. She called me fat for so many f**king years, so you know what? F**k you, you're fat too!"
8. Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey is well-know for his madcap personality, but apparently that can really get on your tits in a professional environment, especially if your name is Tommy Lee Jones.
Carrey himself (who was playing The Riddler alongside Tommy in Batman Forever) explained that:
"I went up to say hi and the blood drained from his face in such a way that I realized that I had become the face of his pain or something. And he got kind of shaking and hugged me and said, 'I hate you. I really don't like you.' And I was like, 'Wow, okay, what's going on, man?' And he said, 'I cannot sanction your buffoonery.'"
7. Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow
Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow used to be the best of friends, with Paltrow once calling the legendary pop star "like an older sister to her."
Maybe the universe simply won't allow so much pretension in the same room, but this pair mysteriously severed ties in 2010 and haven't seen each other since.
Nobody knows what these two fell out about, but Paltrow made thinly veiled digs at her old best bud in a 2010 Vogue interview. She said:
"I can be mean. I can cave in to gossip. I can ice people out and I can definitely harbor revenge. In fact, I’m having a situation right now with a friend where I’m feeling pretty angry."
Madonna has never made any comment on this dissolution of their friendship.
6. Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey
Who knows if this was all staged for TV, but Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey didn't hold back when it came to throwing shade on American Idol.
The bitter feud escalated when Minaj called Carey a "bitter, insecure woman" and the pair fought during an audition round where Minaj was filmed screaming at the crew that:
"I told them, I’m not fucking putting up with her fucking highness over there."
In return, Carey mocked Minaj for never hitting the No. 1 spot and likened her time on American Idol to:
"Working in hell with Satan."
No prizes for guessing who Satan is...
5. Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes
Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes are both known for their relentless party lifestyles and repeated brushes with the law, but their similarities haven't brought them closer together.
Instead, Lindsay was so irritated that she faced jail time for her misdemeanors while Bynes got away scott-free that she Tweeted about the injustice saying:
"Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?"
According to a friend of Bynes', the troubled former child star also loathes Lindsay. She spoke out to US Weekly and said:
"She obsessively hates Lindsay. She rambles about 'that bitch Lindsay' all the time."
4. Kirstie Alley and Leah Remini
Leah Remini hotfooted it out of the 'church' of Scientology and gave interviews about a childhood of neglect and forced labor in the church's Clearwater compound.
Unfortunately, former friend Kirstie Alley, who is still in the church, was revolted with Remini's actions and she publicly blasted the actress on the Howard Stern show calling her a "repulsive bigot."
3. George Clooney and Russell Crowe
Russell Crowe made a swipe at a handful of actors in a 2005 GQ interview, but it was only Clooney who fought back and ignited a feud. Crowe proudly told interviewers that:
"I don’t use my ‘celebrity’ to make a living. I don’t do ads for suits in Spain like George Clooney, or cigarettes in Japan like Harrison Ford … To me it’s kind of sacrilegious — it’s a complete contradiction of the fucking social contract you have with your audience. I mean, Robert De Niro’s advertising American Express."
Clooney claims that Crowe later apologized with a book of poems, and that he responded by telling the apologetic actor:
"Dude, the only people who succeed when two famous people are fighting is People magazine. What the fuck is wrong with you?"
2. Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis
Action certainly didn't make the heart grow fonder for Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis.
After appearing in the first two Expendables movies, Willis demanded $4 million for four days on set for [The Expendables 3](movie:388705). Not one to back up without a fight, Stallone slammed Willis on Twitter with the following all caps burn:
GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A FORMULA FOR SURE CAREER FAILURE
Although Willis didn't appear in the third installment, there are rumors that the pair have made up and we might be seeing a certain smooth scalped action oldie in The Expendables 4...
1. Kanye West and Taylor Swift
It looked like the toxic fog of "I'mma let you finish" gate was finally clearing, but Kanye West snatched the olive branch back when he wrote some unflattering song lyrics about Taylor, allegedly without her permission. The lyrics read:
"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that bitch famous."
Although Kanye maintains that he asked Taylor if she wanted to be in the song, the 26-year-old pop icon maintains she was never asked if her name could be used and she subtly slammed Kanye at the Grammys in a speech that went:
"And as the first woman to win Album of the Year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments and your fame,"
Despite all of Taylor's fighting talk, it turns out she did indeed approve the lyrics and she was infamously outed by Kim Kardashian for spreading shit about her husband. Kim explained:
“She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”
Before showing the world the receipts and releasing the audio of Kanye's convo with TSwizz.
Which celebrity would you be terrified to have beef with?
