Two of this years biggest blockbuster films dropped trailers early this morning! Both trailers are the second main trailers for their films, Ant-Man and Terminator: Genysis!
Since it comes out first, lets check out Terminator Genysis first!
Woah! I was expecting some great action and a few time travel related plot twists....but is John Connor a half Terminator now? What is going on here!?
The plot of Terminator Genysis, from what it looks like, is a new Terminator was sent back in time when Sarah Connor was still a child. This Terminators job was to protect her from anything SKYNET sends to hurt her. This of course, alters the future, creating a whole new timeline where anything can happen. Including, apparently, some sort of John Connor half robot half human thing. The new Terminator stops the Terminators that are sent back in time to kill John and Sarah, but is confronted with a new enemy with a friendly face, JOHN FREAKIN CONNOR!
The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.
Terminator Genysis hits theaters July 1, 2015!
And here's Ant-Mans trailer!
So much new footage of Ant-Man, Yellow Jacket, and Janet Van Dyne! It looks like Darren Cross, who is Yellow Jacket, emulates Obadiah Stane from Iron Man (2008) a bit in the whole "I created an amazing suit of armor that makes any person into a soldier, and you made it better without me and now I'm taking my suit back, whether I have to kill you or not, so that I can sell it to any military forces, good or bad, all over the world!" perspective. Although this time, it looks like the genius inventor and badass hero are not the same person.
Hank Pym seems to have created a way to make a super suit that makes you really tiny, really strong, and really fast. You can also communicate and control ants, which is really cool! However he is an older man, so he recruits a skilled thief to take on the role of Ant-Man, Scott Lang. Why does Hank recruit a criminal? Maybe theres some kind of past connection? Or maybe Hank is on thin ice and has so few resources that this is what he's come to having to do? Who knows...all I know is I cant wait to see this movie!
Heroes don't get any bigger with the new trailer for Marvel's "Ant-Man".
PLEASE Marvel make Ant-Man cool! He deserves it!
Ant-Man hits theaters July 17!
