Today I watched Watchmen for the fifth time I think, so its fair to say I love this film; Watchmen is the Zack Snyder directed film based on the graphic novel which revolves around an alternate 1985 where superheroes exist and have been outlawed, then when one of the old superheroes die a plot unravels which threatens the world. Watchmen stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Billy Crudup and Malin Akerman.

There are lots of positives to this film, which include: A great story, brilliant story progression, great acting, beautiful visual style and soundtrack also there is a lot of intrigue. I really love this story and how it unfolds is really well done, the story progression is slow but that is good in this film as it slowly reveals plot points leaving lots of intrigue throughout the film. If you have read my Insidious or Conjuring reviews you know I am a big fan of Patrick Wilson so the fact he is in the film makes me love it even more, this film as a whole is just beautiful from the CGI to the fight scenes and one of the best opening credits in cinema history; I also really like the soundtrack (not the score there really isn't much of one) the songs picked fit the tone and situation the characters are in, they are also really good songs (I now have All Along The Watchtower stuck in my head). On the side of negatives I can't think of any, one of the ones most people mention is the slow story progression and some people think the film is boring because of this but I disagree I think the story progression is perfect.

Overall I absolutely love this film and could watch it many times over and have, as there are no negatives I have to rate this film:
