Well today I saw Inception for the second time, I actually understood it perfectly the first time but the second viewing does clear a few things up. If you didn't know Inception centers on Dom Cobb a man who steals ideas from corporate heads but attacking them in their dreams; after a failed mission Dom is hired by the man he tried to steal an idea from to plant an idea in his oppositions head, a highly risky and difficult task called Inception. Inception is directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe and Cillian Murphy.

There are many positives in this film which include: Superb story, brilliant acting, fun action, great plot progression, it's really tense and quite funny in moments. The plot of this film is fantastic it creates its world with such finesse and detail that it felt real, also the story takes many interesting twists and turns which kept me on my toes. One of the best parts of the plot is how complex it is, like I said I did understand it perfectly the first time but I still had to concentrate pretty hard to keep track of the plot. These are my favourite kinds of films, ones that treat the audience with respect and make them think; that's why I love Primer, Upstream Colour, Under The Skin etc. Unlike Primer, the acting is also fantastic with great performances from all the stars especially Leo who perfectly gives life to a damaged character trying to keep up a facade to his closest friends. As the film progresses and the plot takes certain turns it made me very tense while watching it even though I knew the outcome; you know that a director is special when the tone can be sustained through multiple viewings. Another way that this film built a more realistic tone was that even though this is a thriller, there was sprinkles of humour placed throughout the film perfectly and all the little quips made me laugh. On the side of negatives I can't really think of any apart from not being emotionally attached to the characters; I might just be heartless but in certain scenes which are meant to be emotional, they didn't make me feel that way so it's definitely worth mentioning.

Overall I absolutely love Inception because of its superb plot, fantastic acting and for all the other reasons I have mentioned; this film is very special and will be remembered in many years to come as one of the greats, so taking everything I have said into consideration I rate this film:

Just thought to mention that this is actually a new post not one of my old ones, I'm now half way through uploading those so I hope that you are liking my reviews because there are many more to come.
