Today I went to the cinema to see the new Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy (GotG), GotG revolves around a group of outlaws which through circumstances cause them to unite and attempt to defeat Ronan The Accuser. GotG stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan and others.

There are a few of positives to this film, which include: great acting, the movie is hilarious, the action is really good and the story progresses well. To expand all the roles were perfectly cast and all the guardians are memorable especially Rocket and Star-Lord, all the humour in this film works and made me laugh; I really like the opening credits of Chris Pratt dancing but it also shows how the film can expertly go from laugh-out-loud hilarity to dead seriousness shown in the first sequence but in reverse (serious to funny). Also the action sequences are really cool and look awesome, just to summarise this film is really enjoyable.

There are two negatives, which are that the story is simple and predictable; looking back on the overall story of the film it is extremely simple and you can work out exactly what is going to happen from the start, which is annoying as I prefer more complex stories however this doesn't take away from how enjoyable the film is.

Overall I really enjoyed this film and taking the fact the story is simple into consideration, I rate this film:
