Anticipation for DC's Batman V Superman has been building to a nigh unbearable climax, as fans around the world eagerly await their first glimpse of this epic clash between two legendary comic book titans!

Good news - that excruciating wait is now (almost) over! Yesterday, visionary director Zack Snyder unveiled the movie's first teaser trailer via his Twitter page, as well as revealing the date for the title's inaugural full-length trailer: April 20th.

The Teaser

The 20 second appetite-whetter is - as most teasers tend to be - pretty thin on details, only showing the two iconic suits in dark-lit rooms. You can check out the heroes' badass threads below:

If the teaser has done anything, it's just made me hungry for more (the intended effect, I guess), and is making the wait until April 20th that much harder to bear!

Snyder did reveal that special trailer screening events will take place next Monday - you can click here to RSVP for the screenings.

It's not yet known whether the trailer will be released online simultaneously, or whether we'll have to wait a little longer for the worldwide unveiling. In any case it won't be long until we know a lot more about DC's flagship blockbuster.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the lead roles, with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Ray Fisher as Cyborg rounding out the supporting cast.

The film will be in theaters on March 25, 2016.
