My name is Mikaela (Mick-eye-ay-la) but I go by Miki most often – mainly because it’s easier for everyone. I love everything geeky – Star T

Let me start off by saying I'm a Whovian. My first Doctor was Matt Smith, but I've watched all of the episodes since the reboot with Christopher Eccleston, the movie, and a few of the original episodes. The T.A.R.D.I.S. can go anywhere in space and time, so why not into my favorite Studio Ghibli films?

"Allons-y Totoro" was my first attempt at combining the two. Because who doesn't love "My Neighbor Totoro"? It started with the door shut, but then a friend said it should be open with the Doctor handing Totoro an umbrella. He was right. It reflected the Doctor better. I also added some rain to give it more atmosphere.

I then tried my hand at "Howl's Moving Castle," which is tied with Totoro as my favorite Studio Ghibli film.

This one has Sophie being surprised by the sudden appearance of the police box with Calcifer being a bit concerned as well.

I then moved on to "Princess Mononoke" which I thought was a perfect place for Bad Wolf to pop up.

I then finished my series with "Kiki's Delivery Service" and "Spirited Away." While the Doctor was hanging out in the clouds he'd need some way to get correspondence, right? And I'm sure Haku probably ran into the T.A.R.D.I.S. during one of his flights.

I'm looking to do the rest of the Studio Ghibli films eventually, but I need to watch the rest of them first. I have watched Nausicaa, but it's been too long.
