Being my first post on Moviepilot, I would first like to introduce myself. My name is James and I am a huge comic, fantasy, TV, movie, and lots of other cool stuff fan. Now that that’s out of the way, I would like to say that I started watching the new

series and could not stop watching until I was done (something I had not planned on). The series is an awesome way to engage the fan and viewer in a most distinctive way than has not been done before.

If you have not seen the series yet do not read on as there are SPOILERS.

First off the series puts the hero in a much more vulnerable position than many other series have done before. Even though shows like Arrow and Flash have shown a level of definite vulnerability, Daredevil delves into a character that is vulnerable with no support system, just him against whatever is bad in Hell's Kitchen.

Secondly, the focus and character building of the villain, in this case Wilson Fisk AKA The Kingpin is very unnerving and gives you and inside look at what is making him do the things he does, i actually started to understand him more, than in the comics. (Partially on behalf of Vincent D'onofrio, who was absolutely excellent.

This seems to be a huge turning point and milestone for Marvel and Netflix. Both of them together have come up with a way to tell the story of some of our greatest comic book stories without having the boundaries or restrictions of a regular television style series.

This is definitely the future of comic book to screen story telling in my opinion, but hey i'm just a dude who loves comic books and stuff. What do you think?

Is Netflix the future and best medium for telling these awesome tales?
