Since 1997, J.K. Rowling has been inspiring people across the world and of all ages with the Harry Potter series. Whether it be through fan fiction, Wizard rock bands, or countless different forms of art, the Harry Potter generation is growing up, and you can see how much it has meant to everyone.
The following pieces of watercolor art each pay tribute to J.K. Rowling's work while combining creative styles of each of the artists:
1. Potter Love
I'm a huge fan of these Tim Burton-esque Harry Potter characters. They don't even need faces for their emotions to be fully conveyed!
2. Harry Potter and Friends
Harry's animal friends look similarly fantastic in Jena Sinclair's unique watercolor style.
3. Dumbledore and Harry
This is exactly how I imagined Dumbledore looking when I read the books. Sagely, statuesque but totally non threatening. And I love the addition of Fawkes on Dumbledore's shoulder.
4. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs
Oh what I would give to run around the grounds of Hogwarts with the Marauders.
5. The Marauders
It's always nice to see James, Sirius, Remus and Peter just being normal kids before the war tore them all apart.
6. Hagrid and Harry
Nothing warms the heart quite like seeing a little Harry snuggled safe in Hagrid's giant arms.
7. The Way We Were
Thinking about Lily and Snape being friends before their falling out always makes me feel a little weepy for all the years they could have spent together.
8. One Scene
Katie Cook was commissioned to draw one scene from each of the Harry Potter films and this was her finished project. I've never seen Mad Eye Moody look so adorable!
Imagining a hoard of these creepy Dementors floating towards me has me worried I could never produce a Patronus charm!
R.I.P. Headwig, you beautiful bird, you.
11. Harry Potter Universe
Aren't all fans part of the Harry Potter Universe?
A huge thanks to the various artist for these amazing pieces of art. To see more of their works, their names and profiles have been provided at the bottom of each image.
