Marvel Studios has released 10 movies so far, and with 2 more coming out this year, there is no shortage of awesome superhero movies. Phase 2 of the MCU ends with Avengers Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, and Phase 3 consists 10 movies, including Avengers: Infinity War parts 1 and 2. With tons of new films coming in phase 3, like Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel, there will be an abundance of new characters as well. Here are 10 characters that I think should appear in the MCU's phase 3.
- Amadeus Cho & Daredevil- Captain America: Civil War
First, let's start with Amadeus Cho. Cho is the smartest person on the planet, and he is only like 15 years old. He is smart enough to operate the Iron Spider armor, as shown in the picture above. Also, Klaudia Kim will be playing Dr. Helen Cho in Avengers Age of Ultron. It seems unlikely that they would put this character in the movie if they were not going to expand her character. Kim seems to young to be playing Amadeus Cho's mother, but maybe she is his older sister or cousin. I think it would be great for Amadeus to possibly be the one who causes the Superhero Registration Act to come into play in Civil War, or to simply just show up and explain some tech thing to the not so smart Captain America.
The Daredevil Netflix series was amazing. I thought that practically aspect of it was perfect, except for the absence of Bullseye. Daredevil showed that he can take down entire mobs with his bare hands, and has the potential to be an Avengers caliber hero. I think that it would be awesome for Daredevil to show up in Captain America: Civil War, taking the side of either Captain America or Iron Man.
- Cloak and Dagger- Doctor Strange
Now, I don't know that much about Cloak and Dagger. All I know is what we were told in the episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man that they were in. Dagger seems to just throw energy crystals of some sort. The real Doctor Strange connection comes from Cloak. He has the ability to transport people throughout dimensions, something that Doctor Strange can do himself. I think that it would be interesting if Cloak came into contact with Doctor Strange in some way or another, whether on earth, or in alternate dimensions.
Kang the Conqueror- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (2017)
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set to come out in 2017, and will consist of the same star cast, along with some new members that I hope will be as awesome as the originals. Recent reports suggest that the production name of the movie will be "Guardians 3000." Now, hat could be just some random name, or it could be the year that the movie will take place. Kang the Conqueror is known for his mischievous time travel across multiple timelines throughout the comics. He is a villain filled with rage and will destroy anyone who crosses path. Maybe the Guardians will be transported to the year 3000 to fight Kang the Conqueror, or maybe the production name is completely random.
Venom- Spider-Man (2017)
Since Spider-Man will get a reboot in 2017, everything that happened in the two previous film franchises will be completely erased. this doesn't mean much for the Amazing Spider-Man series, because Venom had not shown up there anyway. But Venom is one of Spider-Man's greatest villains, if not the best. I think hat it would fantastic for Venom to be the new Spider-Man's first real villain.
Beta Ray Bill- Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Beta Ray Bill is an extremely odd character. However, he is extremely powerful, having all of the powers of Thor. The story of Beta Ray Bill starts off with him being enemies of Thor, only becoming allies after lots of fighting. I think that it would be cool if Marvel did this at the beginning of Thor: Ragnarok. Thor is supposedly going to get visions of Ragnarok in Avengers Age of Ultron, so maybe he will already know what is happening before Ragnarok the movie begins. This would set Beta Ray Bill up nicely, because instead of the beginning of the movie be about Thor realizing that the universe is about to end, he could form his alliance with Bill at this time. This makes sense because most of the heroes on earth will have their hands tied with Civil War and other problems, so hot would have to make alliances with anyone he can. Including Beta Ray Bill.
- The Defenders and Punisher: Avengers infinity War-Parts One and Two
With Daredevil already out, and AKA Jessica Jones in production, Marvel's Netflix lineup is almost halfway done. There is already speculation and reported confirmation that the Defenders, the superhero group that puts Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones together to fight crime. I think that they will fit in perfectly, because if the rumors turn out to be true, than most of the Avengers will be dead by infinity War Par Two, so that would mean that the remaining Avengers would need al of the help that they can get.
the only reason that I have for Punisher is because I don't know much about him, so I think that it would be cool for him to get his own Netflix series than show up in Infinity War.
- Ultron and Vision- Black Panther (2018)
The Vision and Ultron will both be introduced in Avengers Age of Ultron, and with the fact that Ultron ultimately can't be destroyed and that the Vision is rumored to be in Captain America: Civil War, it is most likely that they both will be reappearing in some form, shape, or fashion. My theory is that if the villain of Black Panther is not M'Baku the Man-Ape, then Ultron might make another appearance. This theory makes because ultra is known for going to Wakanda, the country that Black Panther rules, to get vibranium. Also, Ultron will be working with Ulysses Klaw, a known enemy of Black Panther. What will most likely happen is that Klaw will continue to be working with Ultron after Age of Ultron, and lead him to Wakanda to get his hands on vibranium for his own personal desires and for ultra's desires. the Vision works into this because the Vision seems to consist of a laser on his forehead that looks to be an infinity stone. This wold make sense of the rumors that Vision will be the one to destroy Ultron. If Ultron does return to wreak some more havoc, then he logical thing to do is to send the person, or android, that took down the robot the first time.
Mar-Vell- Captain Marvel (2018)
Mar-Vell is the original Captain Marvel, and plays a huge role in the story of Ms. Marvel. The Captain Marvel movie will star Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, instead of Mar-Vell. This leads me to believe that if Mar-Vell does show up in the movie, odds are he will either have retired the super hero gig and will possibly play a mentor role to Danvers, teaching her about her new powers and how to use them the proper way. This is the only thing that would make sense to me, personally.
Daisy "Skye" Johnson- Inhumans
The revealing of the fact that Skye from Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is actually an Inhuman was, to me, perfect. It think is's great that Marvel is practically setting up one of their movies through the show, while still maintaining the awesome SHIELD vs Hydra and SHIELD vs SHIELD dynamic. I think that making Daisy "Skye" Johnson, aka Quake, an Inhuman, was great, and I would love to see Skye on the big screen. It would be fascinating to see someone who had no prior knowledge that she was Inhuman, come to be associated with the royal family of Inhumans.
