We all know how Hugh Jackman said he was going to play Wolverine one last time, even when he said he wanted to play Wolverine until he dies but lets not get emotional just because Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine for a long time since the year 2000 in Bryan Singer's X-Men replacing Dougrey Scott. Hugh Jackman has portrayed wolverine in;

  • X-Men
  • X2 - X Men United
  • X-Men The Last Stand
  • X-Men Origins Wolverine
  • X-Men First Class
  • The Wolverine
  • X-Men Days of Future Past
  • X-Men Apocalypse
  • Wolverine 3 (rumored)

from 2000-2016 (for X-Men Apocalypse) and of course the untitled Wolverine 3 movie which it's release date is still yet to be confirmed. But if Hugh Jackman is playing Wolverine for the last time in X-Men Apocalypse, then who will play Wolverine in the untitled Wolverine 3 movie? Well here are some actors who could/should replace Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.

1.Ron Perlman as Old Man Logan

Sup' gramps

It is never a dull moment when Ron Perlman acts in a movie. Perlman has always been one of my favorite classic actors, Perlman bought Dark Horse Comics' Hellboy to life in Hellboy and Hellboy 2:The Golden Army and Perlman seems like the man for the job because old man Logan is still the same Logan we all know and love just you know, older. In the comic Old Man Logan, there was the night that the heroes fell no one knew what happened that night. All they know is that all the heroes had disappeared and evil had already triumphed and the bad guys have been calling the shots ever since. What happened to Logan was the biggest mystery ever because some say they hurt him like no one ever hurt anyone before. Others say he just grew tired of all the fighting and retired to a simpler life. Either way he hasn't raised his voice or popped his claws in fifty years. His old friends would barely recognize him now. Since it's old man Logan, I think it's safe to say that Perlman would make the perfect Logan.

2.Colin Farrell as Wolverine

From Bullseye to Wolverine, so Bull-Verine?
From Bullseye to Wolverine, so Bull-Verine?

After rewatching that old Daredevil movie starring Ben Affleck,Jennifer Garner and Colin Farrell that you guys kept saying it was bad (well it wasn't that bad I mean the suit was great and fighting but Bullseye was just too over the top) at that moment I knew Colin Farrell was the next Wolverine, (of course not in the bald Bullseye way but in the haired handsome Logan way) as you know, Wolverine got his claws because he was born with it, but it was a scientist that turned it into adamantium. And a bit about Wolverine's origins is that James Howlett or Logan as his nickname was born in Canada and accidentally killed both his real father and stepfather when his bone claws had emerged from the back of his hand, after that he was cast out by his mother (who would soon commit suicide) He flees with his childhood companion, Rose and grows into manhood on a mining colony in the Yukon Territory, adopting the name "Logan". Sound like anyone we know? Bullseye! Lester (Bullseye's alter ego) grew up in The Bronx, where he lived with his brother and his abusive father. His brother had a hobby and it involved rifles, and Lester would join him. Lester grew up becoming a sharpshooter. When he was 10, his brother accidentally started a fire in their home due to an unsuccessful attempt to kill their father. Shortly thereafter, Lester was placed in a foster home, and became a baseball player in high school. Lester was offered a scholarship when they saw how great a pitcher Lester was, but instead opted to enter the minor leagues. After three games, he was called up to play a sold-out Major League game. He surrendered no hits throughout the entire game, and in the bottom of the ninth with two outs, he became bored and requested the coach pull him out of the game. The coach refused to do so, and insisted that he finishes the game. The opposing team's batter mocked him, accusing him of cowardice. Lester threw a ball (well kind of pitched a ball) at his head and killing him. As the ball struck, he said only one word: "Bullseye". He was barred from professional baseball and convicted of manslaughter. Still think Farrell shouldn't be the next Wolverine?

3.Joe Manganiello as Wolverine

Joe Manganiello was my first choice for Wolverine, because he has the looks and the brawn to pull it off. Wolverine is someone big tough and has anger issues along with deadly skills that can kill a man. Manganiello is also big and tough, he would be the perfect Wolverine. In fact if you remembered Manganiello had acted in 2 Marvel movies in the past, Manganiello played Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 in 2002 and 2007. So yeah he deserves to be Wolverine or at least Agents Venom but we all know that's never going to happen. There is no one I want to see play Wolverine more than Joe Manganiello.

4.Mark Salling as Daken

Like father like son
Like father like son

Hear me out before judging me that FOX isn't going to bring Daken to life (maybe). For those who don't know Daken is actually the son of Wolverine, and also Daken took Wolverine's place in The Avengers after changing it to Dark Avengers with Norman Osborne as Iron Patriot along with the rest of the team. In the year 1946 in Jasmine Falls, Japan where Wolverine is living with his pregnant wife Itsu, Romulus sends the Winter Soldier to kill Itsu. After Itsu's death, a mysterious man cuts the baby from his mother's womb leaving her body lying on the floor. The baby survived the incident due to his mutant healing factor (hey, like father like son right?). Sometime later in that year, the baby is placed at the doorstep of Akihira and Natsumi, who are a wealthy, young and traditional Japanese couple. They took his presence as an answer to their prayers and raised him as their own. He was given the name Akihiro by his father, but the servants and other families secretly refers to him as Daken (駄犬, "bastard dog" or "mongrel"). As Akihiro grew, he was often teased by other boys in the village. Because of his harsh treatment over the years growing up had Akihiro to develop a very cold personality, directed at everyone except for his father. One night, Natsumi had confessed to Akihira that she does not love their adopted son and after long years of trying, she is finally pregnant. Akihiro overheared the talk and begins plotting. Within a year, after the birth of the baby, Akihiro confronts his mother and tells her that he has killed her son. Upon learning this, Akihira is furious and disowns Akihiro, who angrily responds that "Akihiro" is not his true name anyway. Natsumi suddenly appears and tries to run him through, triggering the unsheathing of his mutant claws. He waves his arm, accidentally slashing Natsumi. Akihira, unable to force himself to harm his son, commits suicide. Romulus then appears to the boy for the first time and tells him that he is what the boy will someday become. I needed to find someone with a mohawk and after remembering Glee I remembered how Mark Salling played Noah 'Puck' Puckerman in the show and has a mohawk, and with the punk habit he's got going on I think he would be perfect, if FOX desides to make another X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie but focusing on Daken more.
