When it comes to US-crossover appeal, there are few examples of modern manga or anime with more of it than Attack on Titan. For an entire generation of anime viewers, it's swiftly become one of the most famous - and beloved - slices of Japanese awesomeness around.
Which, of course, makes the imminent arrival of a live-action adaptation of the series all the more exciting - and, simultaneously, concerning.
After all, the manga and anime versions of the franchise were both fantastic - which means there's every reason to believe a film version will be too. On the other hand, the manga and anime versions of the franchise were both fantastic - which raises the question of whether A.) we need another version of the story, and B.) it can live up to the high standards set for it.
Now, that debate will likely rage until the movie is actually released - but in the meantime, we can take some solace in the newly released (Japanese) trailer for the movie...
...which, from the looks of things, might actually be somewhere close to as good as we're all hoping.
The big question for me? Can they get the Titans - and their full, on-screen reveal - right, in a very different medium?
What do you reckon, though?
