The moment we had all been waiting for came towards the end of last week. No, not the [Star Wars: Episode VIII](movie:711868) trailer, although that was a pretty damn huge thing that happened last week and I have spent about 4 or 5 five hours just watching that trailer. Lets all take a moment to just think about that most awesome of scenes "Chewie, we're home".

What I am talking about is the release of the [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870) trailer.... OH MY GOD! How bloody good does this movie look? Okay, I know its just a two minute trailer but my hope is that this trailer has encapsulated the mood of the film perfectly and it carries that tone throughout because Jesus it looked dark.

If you would like to hear more on my thoughts of the trailer or the Star Wars and Terminator Genisys ones then your welcome to have a listen to Episode 9.5 of the 365Flicks Podcast HERE.

Well done Zack Snyder, you seem to be on the right track. However, did anyone happen to catch what I hope is an Easter egg in this trailer that has got my mind racing? I will admit it was only on my 4th or 5th watch that I caught this but when I did I started immediately fan casting... Let me just show you a picture of the egg in question.

Okay, I put that massive red arrow in there because all I was seeing when I watched this was Batman in the middle of the screen stood beside the Batmobile. Look though, right there that is the Riddlers question mark.

Am I wrong? Am I reaching? This instantly got me wondering if Snyder was throwing us a hint towards who may be Ben Affleck's first villain when he gets to his stand alone flick. Add to this the fact that Jim Parsons (Sheldon in Big Bang Theory) has come out of left field and said he would love to play the riddler in a Batman flick, and it really makes you think why he came out with that statement.

Like I said though, once I spotted this image I instantly started to create a shortlist of people I would like to maybe take a crack at the Riddler whip. Below I give you my top 5 picks...

5... Neil Patrick Harris (I know, I know)

Neil Patrick Harris fits the costume
Neil Patrick Harris fits the costume

I feel this one is pretty obvious but when I look a Jim Carrey's performance in the role (Which I don't hate by the way) I can see Harris doing this role just as well and maybe even doing it a bit more justice.

4... Alexander Skarsgard (Yup him from True Blood)

Zack Snyder took Man Of Steel to the gritty street and from the BvsS trailer he seems to be doing the same and I have to say if you want a slightly darker more twisted version of the Riddler I say look no further than Eric Northman. He was by far the best thing about True Blood and I want to see him do more.

3... Micheal C. Hall

Right full disclosure, I am sticking with the dark angle on this one and realize I am maybe stealing from the Gotham Tv show in the way that I am making Nygma a forensics expert and as we all know Dexter Morgan is a what??? I do love this idea though and it kind of ages him around the same as Batfleck.

2... David Tennant

I did a coin toss on this one. My choices were Tennant and the Tv show version in Gotham. I am glad Tennant won because we have seen him do all that funny comedy schtick but with the series Broadchurch it has become apparent to me that the guy actually has some chops about him. I would be interested as hell in this version.

1... Andrew Scott (Moriaty out of Sherlock Tv show)

Moving from one BBC star to the next, I have gone with my personal favorite choice of Andrew Scott from Sherlock. In that show he has shown us so many different sides to him proving in only a few episodes that he is one hell of a character actor. I personally want to see this actor pick up a massive meaty role and become something huge.

Thats my picks and i bet you all have some of your own. I would love to hear from you all in the comments below with your picks. A couple more outside choices before I leave you all, I also had the likes of Robert Knepper (T-Bag from Prison Break). I like the thought of Micheal Emerson from Lost, Ben Foster. I would be intrigued by a Justin Timberlake version and if I had to, like if I had a gun to my head I could sit through a Johnny Depp Take on the role.

Thanks again People, Hit that follow button...
