With John Stamos confirming the news that there will be a brand new 13-episode season of Full House on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, there is now more buzz about who from the original cast may be returning for the show, including one of shows cutest characters, little Michelle Tanner!

Running from 1987 until 1995, Full House was the enormously popular sitcom about a widowed father trying to raise his three daughters with the help of his friend and brother-in-law, take a trip down memory lane with the Season 1 intro:

So far it seems like the new series, which will be titled Fuller House, will revolve around DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) and Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) along with Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) as the three main returning characters, though Bob Saget (Danny), Dave Coulier (Joey), Lori Loughlin (Becky) and John Stamos (Jesse) have confirmed they will also appear.

So basically it seems like the whole original cast is up for returning, though there is one noticeably absent character who is yet to be confirmed, everyone's favorite little sister, Michelle, who was played by both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Fortunately the Olsen twins are reportedly in negotiations to star in the show, so perhaps we can still count them in - I sure hope so! If the duo do appear it will be Ashley's first on-screen appearance since 2010, and Mary-Kate's first since 2011.

Stamos (who looks like he hasn't aged a day since the show ended in '95) revealed the news of the series on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and could barely hold back his excitement, telling Kimmel "we’ve been working on this for many, many years." He went on to say that the show, which will be a Netflix series, will start off with a one-hour reunion episode, and would then mainly focus on DJ and her three children, along with sister Stephanie and neighbor Kimmy.

Regardless of if we would only see the gang reunited for one episode or for 13, I truly hope the Olsen twins do sign on to at least appear in the series, I have no doubt that they would make millions of fans ecstatic if they do!
